Why argue for dual spec?

I really wish I could delete the topic. No one is actually discussing the proposed idea.

It’s hilarious that any of you think your points are more valid than anyone else’s. On both sides of the issue.

I just find it amusing.

I still go back to the old AV threads from Classic.

This is why I focus on the bad arguments instead of what’s valid versus invalid. Opinions are subjective, facts are not. There’s only one side that repeatedly insists (across various threads) that opinions are objective.

The facts have been laid out already, just because they aren’t convenient to one side (or both) doesn’t mean they aren’t facts.

The real compromises have been suggested many times, in various forms - including but not limited to:

  • Reducing respec cost cap
  • keeping the cost but implementing UI/talent profiles, with a cooldown, and in a rest area/major city
  • full wrath dual spec
  • leaving it as it is now

The small minority of level 10-19 forum trolls do not have the power to stop people from requesting QoL changes, or make people’s ideas, or desires less valid.

There are a lot worse thought out requests than dual spec on these forums, this one at least has merit (in my eyes - not that it matters) because it wouldn’t have a measurable negative effect on the game compared to the positive benefits - at least not as negative as some of the other changes that the 2021 developers made - compared to their benefits.

Well your proposal has the same issues as dual spec, people who want dual spec would be fine with your proposal and inversely people who don’t like dual spec hate your idea for the same reasons they hate dual spec.

So it just devolved into the same discussion of #nochanges vs people who want something to be done about the spec situation.

Why not letting everyone change their race/class freely? Why? Why?

If you wanna call someone out you address their argument, not the person, and then counter it with something other than your biased opinions. Biased opinions dont hold water in a real debate. This is why people like you want to debate that its not even a debate - so the facts dont matter and you can hold onto your pipe dream like its something worth discussing. It is not.

Logic and facts bear this out. The dual spec “argument” is a mere request using an unfounded allchanges justification to give it some sort of credibility. Since its an publicly posted opinion with a goal in mind its certainly open to criticism and discussion but that’s not tolerated for some reason. Huge Red flag #1.

The request need not be taken be take seriously because someone’s subjective opinion on what makes a better TBC is not a compelling, fact based position worthy of consideration. Its just something you want for personal reasons. There are other opinions and they count just as much, especially when they can be defended with real facts. Like TBC didnt have dual specs.

There’s no legitimate reason to add dual specs. None. If you dont have a legitimate reason backed with a sound argument youre opinion on changes is negated if someone can counter you with actual, legitimate reasons. Someone’s subjective opinion can not overcome the very hard fact and truth that original TBC didnt have dual specs and by virtue of this TBCC doesnt need/want/warrant dual specs.

The mere fact that you want to alter TBC with an inauthentic change from another expansion in spite of that one fact is proof positive that you are #allchanges. Like, you cant even argue the point. Youre allchanges. Just own it, stop lying about it.

TBC is somechanges like the devs have said and if theres one thing the devs havent said its that dual specs are on their somechanges table. You have no basis to discuss dual specs as something other than a fantasy you like to think about. People who dont want dual specs win the argument on whether they deserve to be there or not. They dont. Crying about it dont change that fact.

You guys should get some air. Dualspec is wished from the loud minority of the playerbase. The “majority” which is for dualspec is redditors who do agree to add it else they would lose karma.

Maybe farm some gold and start playing the game instead of arguing for hours on end. Respeccing exists, there is nothing that stops you from doing so.

The issue is many people simply log out instead of doing so. Trying to force people to build character in a video game doesn’t really work.

So we should design the game around lazy entitled players that don’t actually want to play the game?

Hmm… someone who wants to do pve and pvp doesn’t want to play the game?

They clearly didn’t want to do so that badly if 100g was to much for them to do it considering how easy 100g is to make in tbcc.

Oh so are you volunteering to give everyon 100G evertime they want to respec? Since it’s so easy?

Of course a raid logging until wouldn’t actually understand how most people would use dual spec.

You really don’t understand how easy it is to get gold do you?

Once a raid is on a reliable farm it’s a gold gain to raid (unless you are trying to parse a 99) each boss drops 10g per 25 players in 25 man raids.

Kill 10 bosses? That’s 100g - consumes you used. Even in BT I’m already hitting a profit already as we have it on a reliable farm already. Hyjal was a profit week 1.

Now consider doing the previous raid tiers and you get more gold.

Dungeons offer a decent amount of gold per run as well, especially if it’s the daily.

Don’t want to raid or dungeons for gold?

You can do dailies.

You want to pvp? There is pvp dailies that offer gold as well.

Still not your thing?

Play the AH for gold.

There is so many ways to get gold in tbcc and all of it is easy.

I see your still pushing a lie to fit your agenda.

Clearly not if they are logging out, as you claim. Do you think someone logging out is playing the game?

Yes all of that will fund maybe a couple respecs a week.

And while yes I get that a raid logging hunter doesn’t use that many if any at all the people who want dual spec use quite a bit more.

Hey you were the one who explained your playstyle of no more than 10 hours a week mostly spent raiding. So you were either lying then or are lying now claiming otherwise.

So In conclusion, without dual spec, you are unable to play, why?

A claim no one has made?

Then we don’t need dual spec

Required to play is not a requirement blizzard cares about in TBC Classic to make changes

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, Regardless of whether it would make your personal and a few others experience easier and require less effort to play. It is not a problem nor does it fix any of the major issues like realm imbalance. Lack of tanks and healers is a player created issue caused by lack of desire to play those classes, not game mechanic imposed restrictions or bottlenecks, Reality is that lack of skill and knowing how to play your class is the real issue, Dps just want to spam and top the charts rather than cc and aggro manage so tanking and healing heroics or any complex mechanics sucks.
