It’s not Horde torture. It’s torture for anyone that’s not a night elf, or druid.
Buck up, shut off your brain and unga-bunga your way through to The War Within.

Are you SURE you aren’t a Human Male Paladin (HuMPa®) in disguise?
Come to think of it, next expansion’s key-art kind of feels like thrall was shoehorned in as an afterthought.
Like blizzard thought of alleria and anduin and magni, and then was like “oh wait…the horde need somebody to do something too, let’s do thrall, the kids love thrall”
I feel like they should throw Liadrin down in there alongside Alleria. I think they wouldn’t get along and i want that. It would also give Liadrin something to do other than make good guy monologues at people. Or Rommath because they really don’t like eachother and he doesn’t do anything.
Same vibes:
I’m really happy to see an end to conflict against other players who play the same game I love, so any Horde and Alliance friendship is great to me.
But Keep everything fair and even regarding Questing and NPCs; honestly, if I EVER have to follow Tyrande around again while Malfurion cries for her I’ll smash my keyboard!
I just really miss actual factional questing experiences, I have at least one of every class on both sides and greatly enjoyed seeing a unique questing experience based on what faction I was currently playing.
Post warlords with the exception of BFA because ‘faction conflict’ it has been entirely homogenous with maybe a small conversational nod to what faction your on by a single NPC per expansion (such how Tyrande/Shandris reacts to the player in Shadowlands depending on faction), and for me it feels very disappointing and a let down having it be basically entirely identical regardless.
They can have unique factional questing experiences that aren’t just more horde vs alliance, majority of Warlords was unique factional questing not related to it (as it was about the Iron Horde/draenor things) etc…
You guys have been getting A LOT of love lately, for YEARS
Gods forbid Alliance has something good now
Also the ED is for druids, might feel like it is Alliance, but it’s mainly for druids
I found it very funny when Alexstraza says “We wont let this world tree burn!”
While a Horde character is awkwardly standing next to her like “Yea…!”
Unfortunately the story has always been this way. World ending cosmic threats always lean Alliance, and faction based war plot lines skew toward The Horde.
Horde is Metzen’s favorite faction. Ya’ll got a whole expansion of Orcs, on top of following Green Jesus around for years. Suck it up, frolic through the flowers, and hug a (world) tree for a season. Try not to burn it down this time.
Right?
Whenever a Horde Patriotism thread is created I always check first to see if it was made by a Blood Elf, and I’m often never disappointed.
Would truly enjoy that!
Well I’m not looking forward to Midnight…where all the Blood Elf quest givers will ask me to remember the Sunwell while questing at the Sunwell.
You understand that Druids go both ways, right?
Sure, you’re helping out Tyrande and that would probably suck for a die hard Hordie. But she has a super close relationship with the Green Dragons and Cenarius.
It would have been cool to have Hamuul be a stand in for the Horde instead of Tyrande.
Edit: We had that Baine quest line earlier this expansion. We also had all that Green Jesus nonsense back in Cata that we had to deal with. So it really goes both ways.
On a completely unrelated side note, I’m still upset that they sidelined Malfurion for Ysera, then completely benched her.
I’m all for Merithra becoming the new aspect. She’s cool, a good character and it’s a natural direction for the Greens.
I’m also kind of ok with Ysera coming back and swapping out Furion.
But then you need to use Ysera. She came back, attacked 6 dudes then… that’s it. Now, I’m only through the first act of the patch story, so without spoilers, she may show up in the Dream and actually do something.
But it’s frustrating that they basically hand wave Malfurion away in favor of Ysera, but then they don’t use Ysera.
Either use Ysera or bring Furion back as the Druid representative instead of Tyrande.
We need to call Fyrakk to the forums and BBQ more of them with shadowflame
More roasted like a marshmallow elves pls.
I agree this is kind of cringe… from both sides.
pours a drink
Say it.
Saaayyyy iiiittttt.
Not sure why you feel like this is an alliance quest line? This is more like a druid themed zone, Taurens were the first druids…also Lilian Voss is in the story and mostly follows the Dragon Aspects which aren’t part of the alliance or the horde.
Alliance are the main story. We either help them or we are savages.
He plays a human paladin, so I think youre mistaken.
He just really loves the universe as a whole and doesnt discriminate. Theres been just as much alliance story as horde.
Says the bloodelf… Literally playing the alliance race that got put on the horde to boost horde population by attracting Alliance players.
Dude…
… seriously?
You got no legs to stand on here buddy.
