Why are you torturing the horde?

I’m a horde. I’ve always been a horde. I have zero alliance toons. I don’t want to play alliance…

yet…

…here I am in this new zone doing, what feels like nothing more than, alliance questlines on my horde for all these alliance clowns. For the love of Thrall, why? You guys know there’s still two factions right? That we pick which one we want to play? Why are you taking that core theme away from us? It’s TORTURE!

Not to mention the vendors in V that keep saying “for the alliance” to me every time. HOW DARE YOU!!!

You can already make cross faction groups and guilds. I don’t think it’s really the core of WoW at this point, since they’ve been systematically making it possible to ignore that boundary.

I think, at this point, they’re not going to focus much on conflict between sides. Sylvanas felt like she ended that arc, when the conflict itself almost erased existence as we know it.

I appreciate wanting more story for horde characters, of course, but it’s likely to come in the form of stories about those characters themselves rather than meaningful conflicts on any sort of larger scale.

It’s also worth noting that the Emerald Dream is technically a “both factions” kind of thing because it directly relates to the original group of “working together” crowd (druids).

If we are friends, wouldn’t we help each other sides out?

I’d take those posts more seriously if they weren’t always made by a Blood Elf.

It’s typical for druid content that the horde player is dragged around by either Malfurion and Tyrande. :mag::robot:

Fortunately, it looks like loa content might be coming with the alliance dragged around by Talanji. Maybe. :mag::robot:

They do not, no.

And they’re going to keep it that way.

Poor Thrall. Not just in the background, he gets half-covered by the logo, too.

But you can clearly see the Important Alliance Characters that the expansion will be all about.

Nobody’s talking about “conflict between the sides”.

Why is it that the first place people go to is “if there are 2 factions there must be a faction war”?

The problem is that THE HORDE IS MISSING IN ACTION. It has been since Legion, really.

There used to be Alliance quests with Alliance characters about Alliance themes for Alliance players, and Horde quests with Horde characters about Horde themes for Horde players.

Now everything is just Alliance. The occasional token Horde character gets to (quite literally) sit in the corner. (Like in Oribos.)

Its even funnier when alliance cried for years about bias towards horde.

Those Alliance complaints were always stupid.

Here’s a fun read from 2016.

He makes a good cheerleader back there. “Go Anduin!!”

You are aware that Malfurion was the first Druid in all of Azeroth, right? There’s a reason when Druid stuff is going on he’s the most frequent one taking stage - he’s the oldest and most powerful Druid in the planet and one of the leaders of the Cenarion Circle.

Hamuul Runetotem is also a leader of the Circle, but he’s also tens of thousands of years younger than Malfurion and was, in fact, taught directly by Malfurion.

who is that in the background with their fist in the air?

Why it’s our BOI Thrall, yelling “Where is my Axe”.

Nailed it. I was horde 100% from BC to Legion. During BFA horde felt a bit weak, pointless and evil Saturday morning cartoon-ish. I really like playing alliance now. Night elf warlock is one of those race/classes I never thought would happen but will probably make it my new main.

I already understand. :robot::+1:

It is bothersome how often the horde helps and harms them though. :mag::robot:

That was a interesting read. Interesting to see some things never change i guess.

It’s a great read. There’s a ton of stuff in there that even I had forgotten.
