Everything for us is out of BFD and WSG rep. We have nothing else through 40, aside from one or two drops.
So casters will still be wanting to do BFD, even after Gnomer comes out. Especially if Gnomer is benched off DPS in BFD gear. Which I really hope they’re smart enough not to do. But this is Blizzard after all.

GDKP is the biggest RMT gold sink.
I think that’s one of the points they’re trying to make though. BoEs aren’t dropping off atm. They’re staying steady RMT grade high.
The further mistake you’re making is assuming that every item in every GDKP always goes for those massive amounts.
When the reality is that’s simply not the case and never has been.
Then show gdkp sheets of peoples raids that shows prices that items sold for in those raids??

Yeah some BoEs remain BiS even after raiding this phase, which is abnormal for sure.
The discussion keeps getting muddied, and is inherently confrontational for whatever reason (deflection, defensiveness), but ultimately all I’m trying to get anyone to acknowledge is that RMT is pervasive in GDKP, and if GDKP weren’t around then there would be a fraction of the demand for gold.
GDKP allows you to pay your way into the tippy top of BiS for gearing. It’s a distinct gold sink, RMT or otherwise. Without RMT it’s great, but that’s not the situation.
Not every BoE goes for huge gold either though, I don’t see the point you’re making.

RMT seems to follow any huge gold sink in the game, raid loggers who don’t want to even do the minimum outside of raiding, and BIS gearing. So it’s more of those three that drive the worst of the behavior than anything.

That’s exact point I was making, not only is the pricing of items in a GDKP varied to begin with but based on who’s bidding the amount a specific item goes wildly.

GDKP can exist without RMT and would be a good system for PuG players, so long as we could find a way to keep fresh toons from being barred from access.
Fact is we have rampant RMT, as clearly indicated by the price of BoEs and rare raid items in GDKP.
Furthermore, if we didn’t have GDKP in our busted community that loves RMT, cheaters would have a fraction of their ability to dump cheated gold for player power.
I think most of us are plenty capable of understanding that it isn’t only supported by RMT, but until RMT actions are harshly punished, GDKP’s are going to get viewed in the same light.
By people whose only knowledge of GDKP is a few click bait youtube videos and further refuse to educate themselves about how GDKP’s actually run.

Yes. I have consistently said so through the thread. GDKP heavily exacerbates RMT, it’s not the cause.
The cause is absolute losers who can’t handle the idea of a game requiring a time commitment more than they’re willing to put in, in order to play at the top level.
