That isn’t how things work, you would have the same amount of bots, they would simply lower the price of gold to try to increase demand so people window shopping the AH are more likely to buy. Also with Phase 2 so close there is going to be an influx of people buying gold for mount money.
LOL yes you would, nothing about GDKP’s requires RMT and they would still be the best way to pug.

I don’t know why people cry about GDKP. people buy gold and bets in there but at the end everybody gets a cut. so if you hate people buying gold, go into a GDKP bet on nothing and get out with an ez 50-100g

The people that do GDKP are the folks that have admitted that they don’t have time or unwilling to waste their time farming. You would have a bunch of pumpers and no buyers.
I think I brought this up in another thread.
Pumpers would still be easy to come by, those quest green geared buyers on the other hand…
50-100g times however many GDKPs ran per lockout = massive injections of gold into the economy. It affects all of us. The only difference is GDKPers have the gold to spend.
You realize there’s other sources of gold in WoW than RMT right? Where do you think RMT gold comes from in the first place?
There would still be plenty of buyers.
It comes from bots farming 24/7.

GDKP would be fantastic, but it’s rife with RMT because the game is rife with RMT. It drives RMT more than anything else because it’s the activity where you can spend the most gold for the most meaningful account impact.
Like yeah people are still gonna buy gold regardless, but it’s the difference between “I’m buying 500 gold for the phase” and “I’m buying 50 gold for the phase”.
It’s more lucrative for gold sellers, which means more bots, which means worse game.

And why do you think that? If it’s not GDKP that gold just gets spent on something else, like simply buying runs.
Because you can’t run raids ad nauseum because of lockouts, so the things you get out of them are more expensive than runs of something like SFK.
It’s been a consistent reality of the market that GDKP rares go a lot higher than the cost of anything else in the game, no?

Yea, it’s been awhile since I’ve see the helm go for more than 40 gold. But I haven’t checked either.
There are some nutty prices on BoEs still though.
There’s definitely some weirdness with itemization because it’s phase 1, and likely will be in phase 2 and 3. Be interesting to see how it normalizes at 60.
You can get enough prebis to be effective in BFD with less than 10g on my server.
Not sure why people would drop hundreds on prebis when they could just replace it with bis from a GDKP. All the same, GDKP is at least as massive a gold sink for RMT than anything else in the game, but we know it’s actually the biggest across phases.

It’s really not though. Other than a few click bait items early in phases the price of items in GDKP’s steadily decreases over time.
