Why are you allowing GDKP in SoD?

Easy thing to say on the Internet. You’ll never have to prove yourself.

I may be lost on this one, I thought we were talking an actual physical altercation between two consenting adults, not an online duel in wow.

If it’s a duel, I’m not interested, or even on CS.

That was an enjoyable sentence to read.

Curios: How many fights have you been in and what is your background?

To share information, brother.

Not on the forums.

Same question to you: what is your training background? What are you bringing to the table?

Just street fights

Except it’s not really is it if it involves huge amounts of RMT. It’s the leading incentive for RMT. No doubt. Involves tens and hundreds of thousands of gold in pots and you’re telling me people are like buying it for their 1k mount and stuff. Like you don’t think people are believing this do you?

You’re bad because you’re part of a system that encourages people to buy huge sums of gold and ruin the economy. Boosting gold buyers doesn’t make you some sort of elite. I don’t know how you manage to keep convincing yourself of this. It makes you a garbage person.

Let’s hear it. What have you trained in?

Yeah, this isn’t interesting. I enjoy your energy though.

The trading is still gross.

Except this is all speculation at best, with fragments and snippets of evidence, which can be found in all aspects where gold is used in game.

You’re still not understanding that gdkps themselves are just as innocent as the AH, despite how abused they can be for RMT.

Okay, so help me out here. Other than assumption, what makes you believe that GDKPs are the sole factor driving up gold buying?
Botters have easy access to SoD because all it costs is a monthly sub. Blizzard has released statements in the past stating that a lot of the gold from gold sellers comes from compromised accounts.
I also disagree with placing a character assessment on GDKPs. You’re not competing with others for gear based on skill, but rather on a random /roll. GDKPs mean that even if you don’t win your gear roll, you leave the instance with something to show for it. I cannot tell you how disheartening it is to do the same bit of content for weeks and not get any gear from it.

GDKPs do -not- exist because of RMT. GDKPs exist because the incentive structure they provide serve a functional purpose. GDKPs would continue to exist without RMT for the following reasons:

  • Players who already have their gear can run for gold.
  • It gives randos/puggers an incentive to stay through the entire run, instead of leaving or running on autopilot after losing or not getting their drop(s).
  • It gives players who have everything they need already a reason to continue doing the content, making that content more accessible for everyone else.

I don’t even understand what you’re trying to say in the latter half of your post, as it relies entirely on fiction you made up because it’s the easiest way for you to intuit what’s actually happening. What you’re describing isn’t GDKP at all, but something more akin to a mafia scheme. A GDKP should see all pooled gold returned out to those who didn’t get any gear. That’s the whole point.

Hey you win some you lose some
