The only reason you’re in a Season of Discovery thread arguing in favour of GDKPs (and RMT) is because it might lead to a change in policy which would by extension effect WotLK, where GDKP and gold buying is extremely rampant.

You’re so real for this one. Anyone arguing in favor of GDKP’s think they’re the same as GDKP’s back in 2019 classic, which just isn’t the case. The botting and goldbuying has gotten so bad that people pool up gargantuan amounts of gold to essentially get carried thinking there isn’t an issue with it. There’s zero community like there used to be and the only reason GDKP’s were ever popular was because “I’m using my lockout to go to this so I’m hoping to get some gold” Because people, like I said, have FRIENDS and GUILDS??? But apparently not anymore, people suck the life out of this game and get surprised when someone says “You sucked the life out of this game gdkp’s suck and are connected to bots, goldbuying, and RMT”

It should…. I think logs can be a fun way to improve but I wouldn’t get sucked up in the whole 99 parse thing. It’s way too Min/Max and sweaty for simplistic raids.
Sure maybe in like Mythic levels where it’s really hard. But why would I tell my friends who might be having a bad day that they can’t have some loot?
The interesting thing is I can link you a 100 different gdkp discords that fully vet their players and do 11/12h or 12/12H runs.
The puging system is so bad in this game because 75% of the players are just plain bad and me personally I don’t want to waste my time with them.
Can you link me 2 discords that are devoted to pure MS>OS or HR or SR?
They don’t exist. Trade chat pugs are God awful because the average skill level of this game.
However gdkp discords are a community of people who are just superior to most players.

GDKPs incentivize RMT. I highly doubt you’d be going to any GDKPs with the sort of chump change average players would be throwing around. They’re only lucrative to do now because of gold buyers. Remove the avenue in which these people wash their gold.

What grounding has a server’s population got on the very real fact that GDKPs are seeded with gold buyers? Are you going to continue being disingenuous here and keep telling us all that GDKP hosts aren’t explicitly looking for ‘buyers’ and ‘carries’. I know how this system works. I have first hand witnessed someone bidding 300k gold on Gressil. Wrestle on Whitemane bought it. The guild was Die Empty. They openly joked about ‘buying pizza’ in reference to their gold buying. Now tell me, did he hit gold cap and then some ‘gathering ores’ too in the 6 months he was playing?
