"Why are undead night elves joining their killers?"

Because mind control is the only logical reason. I guess Blizz just wants to avoid admitting it.

Surely it makes perfect sense: I know that if someone burned down my house on purpose the first thing I’d do afterwards is join them in protesting against the fire department who failed to save it.

In death they finally see. A vision through the fog has lifted. The war mongering alliance is the cause of the barbeque. They finally see it for what it is, and with refreshed vigor raise up to strike down those that would harm Azeroth.

Fixed that for you.

So they’re up in arms to kill Sylvanas? lol

I call it crap writing for one. Danuser and Alex want to ignore alot of key things. That were placed there by the creators of wow lore. Danuser is no different then that idiot that is trying to recreate starwars. Honestly hoping with how bad story is going , that players unsub and loose interests. Causing Activision to step in and get rid of Danuser and Alex.

Trash writing really, they just want to throw nightelves under the bus more is all . Alex and Danuser just love it apparently. They want to push Sylvannas and then use raised nightelves to fill her darkrangers ranks. Honestly tired of this garbage, they ignore previous wow lore making it were you should question if buying the books is even worth it. When later on down the line they decide to ret con events again. They shouldn’t have been raised simple as that.

This is the answer for everything. i don’t know if they’ve changed writers from back in the day or what, but the story for a good while has been a bit of a mess.

This is a good breakdown imo.

Arthas was the original one who created the undead and the Forsaken. The Forsaken and Sylvanas didn’t want to join Arthas so they created their own lives.

It literally makes zero sense with the Night Elves compared to the Forsaken. The Forsaken did not join their killer, Arthas; they joined another who was killed by him.

Comparing the Night Elf plight to the Forsaken and Arthas is like comparing apples to oranges. There is no explanation to why they Elves join Sylvanas.

“Books have no bearing on what happens in game.”

I guess they forgot why WoD happened and why we don’t have an emerald dream expansion because of stormrage. Why do content in game when they can just get christie golden to write everything off?

Look at the ones in charge they are to blame for this garbage. Be sure to point it out to other players to keep questioning if the wow story is worth following.

I said the same when Dark Iron dwarves in Gnomeragan and BRD. I asked the other players, how does it feel killing your own people?

Blizz Dev 1: So we need new Forsaken NPCS for another revamp and zones. Who do we use?

Blizz Dev 2: How bout Nathanos?

Blizz Dev 1: Nah hes already in every Horde zone and quest for the next expansion.

Blizz Dev 2: Ooo i know. We raise some C list Nelves!!!

Blizz Dev 1: GENIUS!!!

I’d say it was more like:

“Well, the players demand High Elves. How can we add them and give the Horde something equivalent?”

“Why not turn some Night Elves into Forsaken, giving them the Dark Ranger theme in an Allied Race?”

My guess is like with ion , Alex and Danuser are betting on new players that don’t know wow lore to well. To just go along with whatever they put out. That’s were veteran players need to point out things to them. Stopping the devs plan to change things just for there narrative.

This garbage started when the devs decided to allow her to raise corpses as forsaken. With the valkyr not disappearing afterwards. Instead it only happens when Sylvannas dies. Yet giving the valkyr the ability to have unlimited number of chances to raise corpses as forsaken. Kinda makes the story more boring if anything. Before when they would die afterward it made it interesting. Now its just dull and boring. It’s like Sylvannas has her own version of Frostmourne. So there copying Arthas but with a gender switch. Using another writers idea to call it there own.

Yeah, Twist the views Why don’t you, I try to say what at lest cannon but yeah Sure twist my words.

maybe they aren’t actually converts

Void portals could have happened during the darkshore event. Just like how Alleria showed up at the battle of lorderon. But nope Danuser and Alex couldn’t allow that to happen. Even if mages weren’t present, void elves could have been there with reinforcements. How lame is the story.

“Only we won’t REALLY give the Alliance High Elves. We’ll give them pathetic Blood Eves that we pull out our rear instead. And we’ll destroy the last Night Elf city left on the Alliance side too, so those worthless players will have to go Horde if they actually want Night Elf content. Ha!”

Their leaders abandoned them. The Alliance did nothing to help them. Not everyone is Mother Teresa. The allure of revenge, after being treated the way the brave defenders of Darkshore were by Anduin and Tyrande would be quite strong.
