Eh, it just makes me kinda motion sick and I’d rather not mess with it.
What?
/clicks and looks though.
…Where?
They want their skinner box to be as mindless and painless as possible
Whirling Surge
Spiral forward to cover a great distance, gaining a large burst of momentum. 30-second cooldown.
And
Bronze Timelock
Mark a waypoint of your current position for 3 minutes. Once you have a waypoint created, this spell turns into Bronze Rewind, which can be used to return you to that waypoint. You cannot create a waypoint while flying, but you can return to that waypoint while in the air. 3-minute cooldown.
She should be able to /follow and not worry about it in most cases. Blizz help ftw.
why do you care about what people are complaining about so much? i honestly want to know why people waste so much time making these counter complaint threads complaining about people complaining. are you bored?trolling?
it can’t be that you genuinely don’t understand the concept of people having issues with a product or how THE FORUMS ARE NOT A MONOLITHIC ENTITY AND ONE SET OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING IS DIFFERENT FROM ANOTHER SET COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE. even the extent of the specific issues they might have a problem with
could be different. but nah let’s be lazy and lump EVERYONE on the forums who have an issue with something together. (gee blizz thanks for breaking my forum post now it looks awful.)
if it is geuninely the above…I’m very concerned for you people.not sure how to put this nicely…
i been crying about it since it was announced and won’t stop crying about it my motion sickness does not like it when i could be just flying on my normal mounts which i wasted months if not yrs trying to get goodbye.
It like useing a glider while it is fun the control is not as good as reg. Flying. Some of the race courses have tight turns so it be tough on some people to do and going into a forest or near clutter area your going to get hung up and land .
Dragonriding will be more difficult for keyboard turners.
Their problem will be unless they manually pan the view up or down while flying, the game will assume they are trying for a perfectly flat flight path. This works, but they’ll lose speed and eventually have to land once they use up their vigor.
To fly indefinitely via dragonriding it is necessary to periodically tilt up after activating Ascend, then after a few seconds till back down.
Ah, that explains some of the trouble I had using soar on my Dracthyr. Only played a short time, so might get the handle of it. Might not. lol
…Why is there a teleport spell in dragonriding talents?
There’s definitely been a punctuated up ticking in whinging lately.
Sore butt syndrome
People are used to regular flying - - - I tried it out on the beta and it looks like a nice idea. The zone design helps and when you just level it up a bit, the flying mechanic feels pretty cool if you like that sorta thing.
No idea? But I guess it is thematic with the bronze Dragonflight? I suppose we will find out tonight.
That sounds like to me Blizzard designed the terrain to be traps if you fall in a pit but doesn’t kill you and this is Blizzard’s way of sort of fixing that. At least i think that what i assume it’s there for, but i could be wrong.
I’m not sure that’s the reason. There is also an ability to take off, or alternately press spacebar twice. If you find yourself stuck in a ditch, you could just fly out it seems.
I was in beta and legitimately disliked dragon riding. I thought it over for a while and decided this week to unsub and wait and see when normal flying is added. But I’ve had a problem with it for a long time, personally.
So you’d rather just hit numlock and go in a direction?
I’ve never once done that. Is that how lazy people like you fly 100% of the time?
This is such an old, lame talking point you are repeating from the original “flight grab” in wod. I get that you would say absolutely anything to try and prop up the decision made by the devs to make the game less accessible so all those disabled people would decide to “git gud” and git over what their problem is. Especially since their “problem” seems to be that they want to play wow and you want them out of your game.
Just another “I wasn’t paying attention to this until my supervisor sent me to the forum with a script to post from” kind of vibe.
Good job.
People are used to “normal” flying because it has been in the game since TBC. Yes, it’s not “active” in the way Dragonriding is, but that’s why people like it. It’s an old debate, anyway, between the pro and anti-flying crowd, and it’s just well past its sell-by date as a discussion, really.
In any case, Dragonriding is fun, I think, but I can also see why people don’t like it as a baseline transport system – because after the “fun” wears off, transport is something you just want to be fast and brainless for the most part. In any case, it’s clear that Blizzard will come up with various ways to keep people from flying in the normal way in new content for as long as they can, and this is the latest, and definitely the most creative, way they have decided to do that. I don’t expect we’re ever going back to the days of getting to max level, buying may level flying, and being able to fly everywhere, which is what we were used to before WOD.
Not everyone can handle dragonflyying. Some will get motion sickness, some see it as “gimped flying” because its temporary uptime, etc. Yes I’d rather hit number lock and keep going forward, there’s nothing special about dragonflying I would prefer over normal flying.
