Why are people suddenly crying about Dragonriding?

If i’m out in the world it means there’s a reason for it and i want to get it done as easily and simply as possible so that i can go back to instanced content

Isn’t dragon riding supposed to go like 900% or something ridiculous like that?

Regarding world content, it sounds like it will be much faster to “get it done” than with 310% speed, no?

we should be able to use any flying mount as a dragonriding mount OR at least the dragon speciaes of older flying mounts. some players collect mounts and probably have lots of dragons…proto, etc.

Not true. Ion did say in an interview that regular flight would return later in the expansion.

So are there steps that need to be taken to fly at 900 whatever percent speed?

Is that a boosted speed on a cooldown and when off cooldown it’s the same speed as regular flying?

isn’t the entire thing something you level up/grow/make better by progressively upgrading it throughout the expansion? aren’t there “fatigue” mechanic that get better the more you upgrade?

i mean by all means if i get to fly with zero restrictions at 900% speed tomorrow when i hit level 70 with no strings attached then sure it’s a good minigame and i won’t complain

if i have to do quests/chores/invest time into upgrades and the initial dragonflying makes me have to take a break or rest or spend time climbing somewhere to use it then it’s no bueno

I’m not certain of the details, though I heard your character learns dragon riding as part of the questing in whichever zone it is.

Edit:

30 second cooldown for a large burst of speed, and a “set a location and teleport back” type ability.

I think you’ll be fine.

Yeah, its been an ongoing thing because some dont like new things and others are worried, like my wife, that her motion sickness isnt going to allow her to do it well, or at all. We’ll find out this week, I spose lol.

It is entirely possible to fly the dragon in a way that mirrors a normal flying mount. You can fly as slow or as fast as you want.

But dragon riding will be a filter for some people who aren’t patient…

You can go collect all the glyphs and unlock all the talents as soon as you get dragon riding in the first zone.

At 61-62 (it is very quick) I will go do that and fly in comfort.
