Why are people suddenly crying about Dragonriding?

I’m not screaming about it, I just worry that it will make me have motion sickness. But I’ve been playing the new Pokemon game and my mount there jumps up and glides and I’ve been okay, so maybe it won’t be an issue.

People keep pulling out the “it’s faster” argument like that’s some kind of surprise. Everyone has known it’s way faster since it was announced. That’s not the issue for people asking for the option to use regular flight and they’re ok with the massive decrease in speed.

exactly…I don’t really CARE about faster flight, gives me a headache just thinking about my eyes having to keep up with it, and control the stupid thing.
I just wanna use my flying mounts, at regular speeds…let everyone else do what ever they like…zoom by me…don’t care

Nope! Sadly I didn’t get a beta invite. Though going off what people have said in comparison to soar, it’s going to be a nightmare for me to use since I don’t play with a mouse. Already bought the expansion though, so well see how bad it is.

My not having tried it yet also doesn’t really change the fact that DR being faster is not necessarily an advantage for everyone, or even when they prefer.

Is that the Cliffside Wylderdrake? I initially didn’t like it, but it’s grown on me some. I played around in the WoWhead dressing room and the only drake I personally liked the look of was called the Highland Drake. I’ll have to play around with the looks to make a better decision. I tend to use gryphons or the paladin class hall mount on my Palis.

I believe so, I don’t remember the names lol. The first one you get is red, the second is green, the third is blue then finally the bronze one. The bronze and green ones are the smallest, the red and blue the biggest.

I’m gonna preface this with the understanding that I’m personally super hyped for Dragon Riding and think it looks awesome.

I could see some people not liking it for a few reasons -
1.) Druids who loot things while flying.
2.) Quest items that can be looted from a flying mount and allow you to circumnavigate having to fight for an item.
3.) People who like to AFK in the sky
4.) People who AFK fly across the continent.

I’ll probably miss some of those things, but I also think it’s time to move on to something less boring.

I said precision, not speed. That’s way more important then speed.

If you’re going at a speeding bullet but have a turn limit, it wouldn’t really matter. I much rather have no turn limit and speed of 1/10 of that. I.E Freedom.

Don’t believe what you read on the forums. Fortunately I did get a beta invite. Dragon riding has a bit of a learning curve, plus you gather runes to improve the “talent tree”. Once you’ve collected all of the runes, dragon riding is easy and fun. As far as the runes go, there are youtube videos on the locations and it takes a couple hours to collect them all. As a matter of fact, that is what I’ll be doing as soon as the expansion drops! Give it a fair shot. It actually is very cool.

I don’t think most people (including myself) realized until today that there wont be Pathfinder, and we won’t be able to ever use our flying mounts (to fly) in the whole DF expansion.

Not true. Ion did say in an interview that regular flight would return later in the expansion.

The biggest thing I’m taking from forum feedback is that the controls to direct yourself work like soar, which I have used, and it sucks big time without a mouse, which I don’t use. Are you saying the controls don’t work that way?

You can gather/mine while mounted once the appropriate specialization through those professions are unlocked.
