Why are people suddenly crying about Dragonriding?

why does it bother you enough to make a forum post on it? If you don’t mind dragonriding, then that is all that matters…

I mean, I’m not complaining because I don’t care. But you should reconsider what you think is content. Dragon riding is a time killer with extra steps lol.

There are four different mounts. I’m not a fan of big mounts, so found the bronze one to be smallest so used it. It actually isn’t much bigger than the bird mounts.

thats rather harsh don’t you think?
I mean, you know nothing about me…but I am an ‘idiot’?
nerve damage in my neck, causes light headedness, nausea, motion sickness, & headaches…as well as hand control issues…
but…Im an idiot…thnx…

not everyone has the teenager coordination either…
ie; jumping jellies, floating from bubble to bubble, blah blah blah

This is …I just have no words …but it will NOT BE FUN for a good number of people. so making it mandatory was just insanely RUDE & unforgiving to their own customers

agreed…they took out the grind of player power stuff…and put in the grind of dragon riding…whats the difference? lol
I mean the whole game is supposed to waste time, give you something to enjoy while your off work or whatever…but they could have just made it optional, I would have nothing to complain about then.

If they spent time creating activities that weren’t mini arcade games, they wouldn’t need to focus so hard on making everything a grind/time gate. But they rather just keep the time gate in place so, we get stuck with “features” or “content” that is reiterations of things we already had to do previously.

Once you’ve gathered all the dragon glyphs flight paths aren’t necessary. You can dragonride at maximum speed without ever landing. You can get from the dragon city Valdrakken to pretty much anywhere in Dragon Isles in under 2 minutes.

There are flight paths, but they’re noticeably slower than just using dragonriding to get everywhere.

I said months ago (after playing around with it on the beta), that dragonriding will be the new torghast.

That streamers, and people on beta will say it is great…

but when the great mass of filthy casuals gets it it will be hated…

I doubt the mass of casuals will hate it.

Many casuals have already tried Soar and love it. And Soar is just a heavily nerfed version of Dragonriding.

I don’t think I’ve seen a single post on these forums from anyone complaining they do not like Soar.

To be fair, WoW is the only “MMO” that acts like its a queue lobby, and everyone pretends there is a whole lot to do lol. If 90% of your content involves having to queue, you’re in crapcreek without a paddle.

Unbelievable.

No. if you complain about something you have not played around with, your complaint is uninformed. My sympathies for your condition, but it’s not something everyone complaining about riding can hide behind.

Objectively, dragonriding is superior to normal flying in every way besides maybe afking, and is not very demanding at all in terms of player coordination, so I don’t very much care for the “I’m not young anymore” excuse.

But it does, and much faster than regular flight!

Have you considered it’s not fun for others?

Is that the Cliffside Wylderdrake? I initially didn’t like it, but it’s grown on me some. I played around in the WoWhead dressing room and the only drake I personally liked the look of was called the Highland Drake. I’ll have to play around with the looks to make a better decision. I tend to use gryphons or the paladin class hall mount on my Palis.

I believe so, I don’t remember the names lol. The first one you get is red, the second is green, the third is blue then finally the bronze one. The bronze and green ones are the smallest, the red and blue the biggest.

Eh. I really prefer my druid flight form, and I’m not all that hype about this expansion. I’m taking it with half a pound of salt. Expansions are usually over excitement then endless moaning for 2years.

LOL…ok…well…you are entitled to an opinion…everyone has one…

I don’t use my keyboard for anything other than the arrow keys, and the ‘zero’ button to put my mount in the air…Not coordinated enough anymore to do all that keyboard stuff, and don’t really care to.
I would not care at all if it was just made optional.
In fact I don’t care at all, that others will just LOVE this new ‘system’ to replace player power ‘systems’, it’s all fine and good for them, and I am glad they will enjoy it…
People like me tho…and it may surprise you to know just how many there are out there, we will not have fun trying this…and it will make a lot of people upset…just is what it is.
Age plays a HUGE part in this too…not because we are older, but because we spent our time raising kids, working, and living life. We were to busy to even THINK about a video game, let alone play one, (played 1st time in 2016, in my whole life)…so knowing what to do, or how to do it…that’s the issue with age…lol…don’t be so insensitive to that, lol…not as easy as one might think. Gettin old, ain’t for sissies

launch day will have more complaints. Just like big patches, or any significant change in the game.

People keep pulling out the “it’s faster” argument like that’s some kind of surprise. Everyone has known it’s way faster since it was announced. That’s not the issue for people asking for the option to use regular flight and they’re ok with the massive decrease in speed.
