I hope you understand that in vanilla you can’t change servers. There was no transfer character at the time so i take it we might not be able to transfer are characters once created on a server. So if you think about playing the system in place by leveling on a pve server and then transfer to a pvp server and cut in line to raid or grief players in Wpvp then this wont work.
You will still have to reroll on a pvp server and level up like everyone by getting ganked.
Edit : This is why pvp players roll on pvp server and pve players roll on a pve server. They should never be mix because like it happen back in the days pve players will request change on pvp servers to lower the difficulties for them to raid or rp and that will destroy classic wow like it did in the past.
I kill people because it’s fun to PVP and corpse runs suck. I’m not a mind reader. I have no idea of that cute button gnome is gonna gank me at 10% health or not. So i inflict the corpse run on other people instead.
World PVP, that is the only reason to play pvp servers… simple answer sure you can do it on a pve server if you flag yourself but its no fun if you want to go gank someone and be an A**.
That’s the point in grinding out that sweet gear, if you can’t feel like a boss out in world server? Like when you see an enemy player rocking sweet gear, and you avoid or pray they don’t attack you, all the while being envious of them… thinking that will be you some day.
But on a pve server, it doesn’t matter if you are all in greens or epics… everyone is the same. How boring is that? There is literally no point to the game. Sure leveling is a bit easier… but it’s not worth it because there are always alternative ways to level when getting ganked.
I think its due to the excitement of having to watch ur a@@ while levelling. Other than hardcore pvpers, that’s the reason I see. My first character was rogue on Aegwynn. I don’t think it was a rp server back then, it was just the first one on the list and I was a noob but it worked out great. Levelling as a rogue on a pvp server is amazing because you get to choose ur encounters. I’m gonna main a priest this go round and it should be interesting. Random, huge battles in Hillsbrad are not to be underestimated. It may be worth the frustration of levelling on a pvp server just to experience this sort of battle. It’s definitely one of the most awesome experiences that I can remember in wow. I just try to avoid stranglethorn all together when possible. Open pvp can be immersive and awesome and a lot of the time tedious and discouraging. You are asking a very viable question and i’m sure some people that roll on a pvp server will question their choice at one time or another.
