I made a thread about choosing a PvE server and it was deleted within five minutes. I sure hope Blizz isn’t expecting people to want only PvP. What’s good for streamers isn’t necessarily good for everyone.

There were many more, if you type Classic Survey/Poll on google you should get many posts, videos about several of them. Everysingle one of them that were asking about it, PvP was the vast majority and it was before the beta.

Why are most players going to PvP servers? Well I personally am going to a pvp server so I can take out all of my rage on low level characters that cannot defend themselves… yes unfortunately blizzard has decided to not include the ORIGINAL unarmored epic mounts so the lowbies will get corpse camped indefinitely.
You have everything backwards.
By all means be a carebear in real life - where people and things matter.
In a cartoon fantasy war game, be an uncouth, unprincipled barbarian or you are going to miss half the fun.

But anyone pondering making the realm type choice should read this post and sort for themselves who they would actually want to play with.
If you don’t think PVP is fun, PVE is likely best for you.
Be the best dragon slayer you can be. Dress up and look all matching and cool. Maybe stick to retail.

because pvp in wow is the best aspect and what we currently have(warmode) is trash.

Since Classic is getting a set amount of raids, PvE content will eventually become stale after most raiders have looted all of the gear they want. PvP will continue to stay somewhat dynamic and engaging.
But from a more practical standpoint, we aren’t getting the Honor system until Phase 2, and no BGs until Phase 3. So for an entire phase, world PvP will be the only way to grind honor. World PvP tends to happen more on a PvP server.

What was wPVP like on the RP-PVP servers? Did it differ at all from regular PVP servers?
I know Blizzard said they weren’t doing RP-PVP but my gut tells me there’ll be at least 1 by the time August rolls around.
You are trying to be facetious but you are actually correct.
People are infinitely unpredictable. That’s the beauty of PVP whereas computer generated dragons eventually run out of tricks.

no I’m not being facetious. Once you do enough pvp, you know all of the tricks and how to avoid or counter them.
People are infinitely unpredictable but they are playing a fantasy character with a known and predictable skill set. It gets stale, too, just not as fast as pve content.
