Why are most people going to a PvP server? ⚔

The only reason for doing PvE is so you can dominate in hillsbrad though. What is the point of doing PvE if you don’t use the gear for world PvP? 0.o

um to dominate in PvE content?

PVP Servers are like 99% built on community.
PVE servers are pretty good for the lone wolf players.
And RPPVP is 100% community.
And RPPVE is sad.

Actually you are wrong. According to wowwiki there were more PVP servers at launch and when they started adding realms there added more PvP than PvE.

I tried to add a link but that was not allowed.

but the population was always pretty eveningly split though.

what did you google to bring up your wiki page, i can link for you

this one?

Yes I would agree at the beginning it was fairly split, with slightly more PVP. I was making a point that it was clearly NOT more PvE like others have tried to state. Also when they started adding in 2005 you can see there is way more PVP.

Thanks for providing the link. I used the one directly from my google search. Maybe I can’t provide links without an acitve sub?

Sure no problem:O) its based on forum rep, new system.

no it was pretty even for most of the history, never that much more either way.

No you are wrong. Between 2005 and 2006 they added TWICE as many PvP realms as PvE. How can you describe this as being evenly split?

Because people want open world pvp?

i mean the population, honestly did not count the overall number of each server type.

found this

There were 88 United States realms at launch (43 PvP, 40 PvE, 5 RP), plus more realms for Europe and Oceania.

after doing more research, i think the above is what Vanilla ended with, not started with

I wouldn’t bother.

Vanilla seems like more of a PvP friendly game. PvE players have retail.

Private server PvE servers are ghost towns compared to PvP ones.

Gist: It was grand and exciting, plus more interesting back then.

When I was on Archimonde, I remember questing in Westfall during the BC pre-patch and saw Horde and Alliance clashing in Sentinel Hill and watched as the level 60s fought hard, eventually causing the Horde to fall back. It was so epic as a new player that I went “YES! I WANT to be apart of that!” Wish I had started playing sooner, but it is what it is, and I have that burned into my memories forever.

PVP servers are simply more fun, even if you don’t really enjoy pvp a lot. If you ever want to PVP the option is there on a pvp server.

If you put ` before and after your link then it will show as a url but not a link to click. We can easily copy that link go to the page.

Yes PvP is way more exciting and I honestly don’t see how anyone can play any MMO without playing PVP. I feel like you rob yourself of the true MMO experience playing PvE.

EDIT: Thanks Brockthron for the info.

Dominate in PvE content for what though

pretty simple because they don’t care to do it and may not find it fun? and there is no such thing as a ‘true’ MMO experience:O)

there is no greater feeling than getting ganked at low hp and then getting a revenge kill on them after. :eggplant: :sweat_drops:
