This community is the saddest I ever seen and I play League.
Blizzard had full control of the faction balance problem. They knew well in advance about it. Why did they handle it so poorly? It’s just dumb.
Most of the posts in the forums compare this game to “a perfect game”. A “perfect game” doesn’t exist in this universe, and cannot be created by a game company, but a lot of players still DEMAND it from Blizzard.
It doesn’t matter if WoW battlegrounds are better than any other MMO. They still aren’t perfect. Ditto server faction balance, which is never exactly 50%.
If it’s not perfection, it’s a “problem” and we demand a “fix”! Now!
They took a decent game and wrecked it though.
Have you considered like, addressing the problems in your life?
You can make up words, but that’s simply false. It’s a silly lie.
This is a game in which EVERY customer can choose their server, faction, race and class, for any reason. Blizzard has ZERO control over those millions of player choices. None. Zero.
Are you talking about some IMAGINARY game, in which Blizzard can force players to play where they want? That doesn’t count!
The lack of constructive and productive post is why Blizzard doesn’t communicate more. They are not punching bags for the community’s vitriol.
The Devs love this community. Classic was a labor of love, they said so themselves.
To be fair, Riot actually communicates to some degree to their playerbase.
Pretty obvious a lot of people imagine that Horde have advantages in PvP. This is not me imagining it. Anywhoo, I suppose Blizzard can only make changes to make the problem worse since obviously, they don’t have the ability to make it better. Maybe in the long run the half-decent PvPer’s on Horde will realize they are getting wrecked by their own faction’s premades and come to the realization that choosing Horde doesn’t make you better at PvP. Maybe some of those people will re-roll Alliance. I don’t see that happening any time soon though. The game will likely be dead before then.
If Blizzard didn’t know exactly what was going to happen, they didn’t do any planning, research, testing, or anything.
Either they decided not to do anything or they’re even more incompetent than we give them credit for.
Some devs, probably. Many of the old guard who are gone probably loved us - and were forced out.
But I don’t believe that the people actually in charge of Blizzard see us as anything more than a paycheck. The recent leak suggested that Ion, Brack, etc were all still good people - they just were forced to fill shoes they did not have the capacity to fill (Ion, purely a hardcore raider, having to design the entire game for example). Which makes a lot of sense.
Complaining on the forums is part of the TBC experience.
Actually any expansion.
Please let us not pretend like we have any idea what Blizzard’s inner workings is like.
Yes, companies want to make money.
You do realize that Ion is just the game director, right? That doesn’t mean he “designs the entire game.”
I’m miserable because of my job and my life and I miss my old car. I also get tired when dealing with social interactions and any tolerance I had built to being outside with people has been drastically reduced during the past year of staying at home. Also I played a Shaman in retail so our misery is ever lasting.
People love to complain.
if you get invited to a Disco throwback dance party, and go through all the motions to prepare yourself for a good time and show up at the door looking like John Travolta in Saturday night fever and then they play Black Sabbath music all night, you are going to be kind of pissed off for being mislead.
Players get told this is going to be TBC all over again, and then Blizz makes retail changes to the game.
Besides, most of the complaining is coming from tourist retailers and grown-up Wrath babies, from which all the “I want” whining started that lead to retail.
I played TBC and as Maximus said to Proximo “Players had a dream of what TBC classic was supposed to be, this is not it, this is not it”
Horde players are epic complainers, never ends with these guys.
For the Horde
People are passionate about what they love.
Why do you hate that?
That’s kinda the point of forums though… Always has been.
sorry you miss your car
