This just began today. I sent multiple followers on multiple missions, went out, did some quests, acquired some resources and returned to my garrison to check the completed missions. On the first one the resources my followers acquired showed in red (I know this is because my resources were maxed out and it means I can not acquire more than the max), then on the next two missions my followers were supposed to gain 8000 xp for the mission itself in addition the base XP gained from doing the mission itself and the xp generated after opening the treasure chest was in red. This strongly implies to me that they can not receive it and the entire mission was a waste.
I don’t know what names they’ve given the tiers of followers whose icons are purple bordered, blue bordered and green bordered, respectively, but one was blue bordered, one was green bordered and one was purple bordered (max level, max xp)
WHY AM I APPARENTLY NOT GETTING XP for the other two who were sent on the mission?
They were NOT UNDER the requirement level for the mission and they both could have easily gained that xp without leveling?
This was a complete waste of 10 hrs. of waiting.
ALSO and while we are here, WHY DO I HAVE TO SCROLL A MILE of CATAGORIES only to find there is no GARRISON category and this will likely be moved anyway?
From some quick reading, the issue could be that either all of your followers are already max level, or the other followers were so low level the missions bonus exp wasnt granted, and the base was nearly nonexistant.
Anyway, the mission in question may have been too high for the follower and the system for unknown reasons greatly reduces the amount of xp they receive.
Or they may have hit the cap. Think it is 40 now for them.
I’m “a dick” because someone was more interested in getting their posting count raised and didn’t even attempt to READ what I wrote, giving the most generalized and clearly inapplicable answer to the question.
And “to be fair” forums for games, especially in the case of THIS game, should all be considered “help” forums" in particular when the game in question has only a bare bones minimal amount of posted info (from the creators and management itself; NOT from the people who pay to play/fans/customers) about how to play the game.
Honestly, aside from the amount of time it takes to get an actual helpful answer and the time wasted in doing so, I despise coming to these forums because many of the people who frequent them are just pretentious know nothings who prefer to attempt to make “smart” answers (and I’m using that term extremely loosely) that offer no actual help, like you.
I linked you to the customer service and bug report forums where your question has a much higher chance of being seen by someone that can actually provide a useful answer but okay.
Ignoring all the hostility in this thread, did they also meet the item level requirements for the missions in question? Being level 100 isn’t always enough to get the full rewards from a mission.
I would try sending out followers again and making a record of before and after xp totals.
It may show in red if any of the followers are not eligible but the ones that are should still receive xp as normal.
If they are gaining 0 xp you’ll want to report it as a bug over on that forum section:
Try to include as many details as possible; followers names, level, item level, mission name, reward and requirements and anything else that may be relevant.
A question mark tells us you had a lack of certainty about what you did.
You’ve had multiple people try to help you and none of them could. You should consider it is because you were the one who was unclear, then rather than re-evaluate your post, acted like a jerk, and that is the source of your problem getting the answer you were looking for.
I’ll ignore the further pretentious forum divas (why are they almost always Alliance!?) who want to to quibble about things LIKE punctuation and add that after sending out two more characters who BOTH MADE THE LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR THE MISSION, BUT WERE NOT MAXED LEVEL/XP they returned and actually LOST the amonut of XP they were supposed to receive from the mission.
The mission gave 500xp and the promised reward was an additional 500xp (from the treasure chest).
When they returned, I checked one of the relative character’s XP and it read 80,250xp (after the +500xp rose above them on the return, but BEFORE OPENING THE TRUNK).
AFTER I opening the treasure chest (trunk) I checked that character’s XP again and it had DEDUCTED 500xp.
And just for those keeping track; yeah this immensely annoying for so many reasons (one of which is having to come here and deal with some of the type of people who have shown up; pedantic turds), but if anyone SINCERLY attempted to genuinely be helpful, my apologies to you.
This is not my first trip here after over 7 years of play, but as always I’m (delusionally) hopeful that it is my last.
Believe me, after a steady week of submitting seemingly continuous bug reports (just this week alone) the alternative (this) to having to spend additional hours upon hours of time not playing the game, or doing anything remotely productive, devoted to writing bug reports teeters from moment to moment of being the “favorable” option, up until the time I decide to return here.

Your post about the Garrison seemed like a throwback to an age long forgotten. I was just making a little quip about that. I wasnt trying to minimize your problem or take a run at you. I had no answer to your problem and was just in a silly mood.

Still not a coherent way to construct a question. “And” is a way of linking 2 ideas. You don’t properly form a question like “I need milk and I am driving to the store?” There is no way to determine if you need directions to the store, or if it is milk you need to buy. A question consists of words like “how when where why what.” Removing the “and” then separating the question and statement into 2 sentences adds clarity. To properly convey the ideas I should say either “I need milk. How do I drive to the store?” or “Do I need milk? I am driving to the store.” makes the ideas crystal clear.
Oh, I agree. Was just pointing out that he had a statement going on there linked with “and.” No, it’s not proper at all and I can see the confusion created by it.
