Male Blood Elves and Female Humans are what Dracthyr are, so are Dracthyr an new race or just an allied race? If they were too lazy/incapable of making an actual new race then why not just make Invokers available to Humans and Blood Elves and give them customization like Demon Hunters instead or better yet since Dragons are Shapeshifters they should just be available for all races because a Dragon can shapeshift into any race. Whatever racials Dracthyr have could have just been built into the class also so Dracthyr werent needed if Blizzard didnt want to put in the work to make an actual new race, its just a bad look and hurts Blizzards reputation to put out low quality work.

They don’t have the same resource as they used to, it’s normal for a downsized team to have lower quality product.
They have made an actual new race.
But people are wanting to play that race in the non-race form.
If anyone gets to throw a fit about that, it’s Blizz.

This entire visage model is complete bullcrap.
They NEED a unique body model. You don’t smash together Trolls, Tauren, Nelfs and primitive humans and get Blood Elves. This stupid, it’s lazy, it’s ridiculous and I refuse to even acknowledge the existence of this race until they fix this crap.

The dragon form is the reused female metamorphosis rig which is based off of the female worgen rig.
The entire race is recycled assets.

Even the Dragon form is a resused model that’s why it looks so weak, because they didnt actually make a new model to fit a Dragon.

The people who are ranting about Dracthyrs being used yet playing as an allied race is contradicting themselves imo
It’s what it is, you’re not obligated to play envoker/Dracthyrs
Honestly they should see this stuff coming. People have never played the game the way the Dev team wants them to play the game.
I don’t get why Kul’Tirans, a simple allied race, got a brand new build, rig, and animations from scratch while Dracthyr are reused.

Because Blizzard is all about profits these days. Why make something new when you can cut out 6 months of work by reusing old assets?
Allied Races are still a stain on the game and hurt the overall reputation of the game and Blizzard, particularly the really lazy Allied Races like Velfs, HMT, LFD, and Nightborne. Just because people play allied races that doesn’t mean that they weren’t asking for allied-races that weren’t re-skins or asking them to fix/improve the ones we already had the entire time and when it comes to an actual new race its twice as much as a disappointment because at least at this point people have now come to expect Allied-races to be low effort, but its a new low for them to make new races re-skins too.

Velfs I can at least forgive. It made sense from a population balancing angle. Everyone was Alliance in Vanilla, then there was a MASS migration due to Belfs on the Horde. People wanna play white skinned elves.
Putting Velfs on the Alliance allowed for them to gain some Alliance population back. The problem is, it’s too late now. The damage has been done. Streamers and top rated guilds are mostly Horde, so players follow them like sheep.
I will never forgive them for Mecha Gnomes though. Lazy! So much potential Wasted! There should be dozens of INDIVIDUAL customizable limbs and pieces! Instead we got diaper gnomes with fewer fun chair colors compared to regular gnomes.
It’s a major issue I have with the Dracthyr, maybe it will be explained in the leveling experience but I doubt it.
Every instance of a dragon with a visage form seemingly made the choice of that form and we’ve seen those forms beyond BE Male and Human Female.
Open up the visage form to all races, selectable by the player in the leveling process, allow additional classes for Dracthyr and allow combat in the visage form for mog purposes.
