Retail doesn’t have Dual Spec.
Correct. We have WoTLK changes in TBC Classic. I’m advocating for one more.

Someone sure is full of themselves. What else am I likely to do?
So, what was all that about asserting it was a “retail” feature then?
Please explain.
Figured I’d post this since you ignored my request for criteria:

Let’s see how you move them goalposts!
No, I’m actually full of cheeseburgers and fries at the moment.
“Retail” is any feature not part of the current Classic era expansion we are in.
There is “Dual-Spec” but it WAS a feature NOT in TBC.
You seem to even know that yourself so what was your point in saying:
To tell yourself the answer to your own question?
which are…?
You don’t deny you miss quoted me, yet you deny being dishonest. That’s interesting.
Wrath was kinda a transition expansion between classic (aka, true to MMO values) and retail (ease of access / single player). It did contain certain features, that started steering the series into the wrong direction, like LFD.
In the beginning, LFD was just for non heroics, so you still had to interact with your server if you wanted to go heroic dungeons, so it wasn’t too bad.
Towards the end though when Activisions influence really started to show, LFD for Heroics as well as loot boxes and other QoL improvements were added into the mix with 3.3.0 and that was the beginning of the end of a good WoW game.
I mean, thats a pretty bad argument. Part of what makes it a game is that everything isnt just automatically accessible.
Whew, that’s a brand new definition for “Retail” that I’ve never seen before.

I would like to have a good argument on how dual spec impacts the balance of the game.
Woah!
…no citations from Hekket. Again. What a shocker!
I didn’t misquote you, I quoted you out of context. I did it to be snarky; it was a joke. Anyone can see the full quote by clicking the arrow.
You’re deliberately propagating disinformation if you continue to claim that WoTLK was balanced with Dual Spec in mind, now that I’ve linked you the Ghostcrawler quote.
Yes that’s the point its already happened. I still enjoy despite the changes although less than I would without them. But that point aside just because poor changes have been made in the past doesn’t mean I’m now open to more bad changes running the game. As little changes as possible please.
You mean to tell me…
…you didn’t know features that are part of future games are considered “Retail” features?
Ok.
Well, just so you know, this is the expansion Dual Spec is in:
I didn’t know either. I always thought it was colloquial.
You have a Blizzard citation you wanna show us or was Rubber-Man all you had?
I find that hard to believe… Well before Wrath even launched people were strategizing how to min/max dual spec to make fights easier/more efficient. Why would you think that the people designing the game wouldn’t have kept the same in mind to some degree?
Good read thanks for the blue post. This doesn’t change the fact that balancing was done around duel spec though. Ghost crawlers even admits to it by keeping the “Pure” dps classes above the hybrids, out of fear they may never be invited. It does describe how the pve encounters weren’t designed around having a dps respec prot for the purpose of off tanking though.
