Is there some rule at Blizzard now that world quest trinkets suddenly have to have crappy ilevels? Why am I doing world quests where I get purple 252 gear, but if it’s a trinket, they are still blue 236?
Did we piddle in someone’s Cheerios? Wrong someone in another life? Why is it so wrong to have higher ilevel trinkets from ZM? Will it cause more Devourers to suddenly emerge and destroy everything?
It’s a really weird issue, I don’t know why they didn’t have those scale with the cypher research too.
It will cause fun and blizzard doesn’t want that.
Because they want to stay away from a situation where a WQ trinket could in any way compete with raid trinkets, we’ve seen that a lot in the past and the raiders complained incessantly. It doesn’t help that a lot of the raid trinkets are crap these days and the WQ ones (even though they’re blue) are pretty decent in terms of stats/procs.
It is kinda odd how they dont scale at all, considering some of them have some neato effects
Then they need to tune raid trinkets correctly and stop giving us blue crap. We shouldn’t get screwed just because they suck at their job.
Simple. Make 252 world drop trinkets that are decent. Make higher ilvl trinkets from m+/raid/pvp great.
Im sick of farming for opc/phial/scale again and why is my 246 ows bis still in this tier, replaced only if i clear mythic sod for 259?

Some world trinkets have godly synergy with certain specs.
It’s the higher up’s failure when no one wants any of the gimmick raid trinkets.

I’d like that as well. I personally would be fine with just relying solely on raid gear alone, but the problem is that a lot of the dungeon gear is just way too good to pass and almost nearly making raid gear except tier gear undesirable. It’s there if I want it, but dungeons are better sources.

The grim eclipse trinket from the current raid is a good example of a trinket with questionable design.

Im saying id love to get decent 252 trinkets from world content, i found a 246 one in zm that procced 300 secondary stats and could proc multiple stats at the same time. Amazing. Give me that one on my alts and im kool.
But no i have a mw monk and i already know i need a changling and a ruby, again, and the raid trinkets are boring or have very niche uses.
It is odd that the ZM world quest trinkets are so low level compared to the catalyst armor you unlock.
Honestly. I’m not sure.
One could say that they don’t want certain raid gear to be carried over to future content like the trinket from Azshara’s eternal palace which was more powerful than trinkets from the tier after that, but then we have a situation now where dungeon gear for 3 tiers now are proving to be more powerful overall than anything the raids can offer except for the mandatory Dom gear and tier sets or other outliers such as old warriors soul and the daggers from Sylvanas (what happened to the legendary bow).
As for world quests this expansion there’s the divine bell that even at an item lvl below 200 was BiS for balance druids combined with Iqd over anything from anywhere else. So the trinkets available now in world quests could be them trying to take a step back (maybe).
