There’s a lot that this general sentiment applies to these days. Too many bodged half-measure “fixes”.

I was able to get a 242 trinket to drop from the Frog it WQ. So I think higher ilvl trinkets are available. They just might be subjected to more rng.

I’d like to see this 242 you claim, because it doesn’t exist. My Cypher system has been maxed for weeks, my rep is almost exalted and there’s no other way to get higher gear. I just did both WQs that gave trinkets and both were 236.

I just did this WQ on a newer character, the WQ had the trinket at ilvl 226. When awarded it had improved to 236.

It was the Symbol of the Lupine I got from the WQ

I was also able to get this trinket to upgrade. It doesn’t seem that great but it might be good on an alt with really low trinkets.

236 blue isn’t 242 epic.

The alt I linked wasn’t the newer character.

This is the one that had the WQ list the trinkets at ilvl 226 but when completed was awarded the 236.

Yeah, i wasn’t defending it or trying to justify their decisions, i just wanted to give my opinion on why they’re keeping the trinkets as low as they are. Ideally, most of us would be a damn sight happier if the WQ trinkets scaled up too. This is just one of those situations where the masses get the crappy end of the stick so the 1% aren’t inconvenienced or made to feel like their efforts have been diminished in some way.

You must…be around 8+ weeks. You will serve the RNG masters…

Or…line up into pvp for easy 242 honor or some work (but not more than a week) for 249 trinkets.

Games needs to look busy, so pick the line you stand in basically.

I’ve had one go to 246 on me. They are still hot garbage. You’re better off with anything else.

I did get a random 242 upgrade on a trinket in ZM. Most of them are 236. It specifically said upgraded when I got it. I’m going to guess they don’t go any higher than that. I still have it equipped.

Good question and short answer is what you have by doing none raid effects certain people pride. You can not have a game that effects high end gamer pride now?

I kind of like the effect, at least on my hunter.

Though I suspect if one trinket can improve, I imagine all the WQ gear can improve to some degree, as long as rng is in your favor.

Side note: That WQs reward improved to 242 for my druid as well.

There are two trinkets you can get from sand piles in ZM that are 242 and 246. Sadly they are one time treasures and you have to do the campaign to be able to access the dormant alcove. Note these are lootable once so make sure you are in the right spec as you cant do it for offspecs.

Mythic plus has decent trinkets. Got a 268 for my monk from Soleah’s gambit and its pretty decent from a 10 last week in my vault.

No one has had this happen with the WQ trinkets. It’s not possible.

You keep saying this and then saying it’s a 236 blue.

I suppose it depends on the class. Mine is a mastery one. So for me it’s good.
