I think we might be heading for an Anduin redemption arc and heā€™s going to be struggling with a lot of guilt over whatā€™s happened! Iā€™ll be cheering for him to overcome and be amazing too!

To me, it is meh and the aesthetic is incredibly dull compared to WoW.

This literally always happens when WoW is at a lull and a new flavor of the week is hot.

I donā€™t think FF14 is an objectively bad game, I just personally donā€™t enjoy it nearly as much as WoW. If itā€™s worth it to you, knock yourself out.

I donā€™t really care about ā€œthe state of the gameā€ in terms of WoW as I play casually and Iā€™m having fun. My original comment was about FF and only that. Youā€™re trying to talk about something else.

you said this always happens when wow is at a lull. but a major content update is a lull? then i shudder to think how bad it will be 4 months from now, at the half way point to either 9.2 or 10.0 in 2023

Last week I had been roasting FFXIV character designs, but the other day I downloaded the trial and managed to create a human female character that doesnā€™t look anime-like and resembles my human toon here on WoW. I admit Iā€™ve been having fun playing FFXIV and havenā€™t seen any ā€œweebā€ stuff like I expected.

So Iā€™m definitely going on a WoW hiatus, and hopefully something will be better in 9.2 for me to come back and check out.
