Who else is maining guardian? And what covenant?

My RL asked me to go Guardian for mythic prog. I have my doubts, but she didn’t have to ask me twice.

Weird. Did she give a reason? No other Druids on the team, perhaps?

It was just posted recently that Kindred Spirits is off the GCD. That’s a potentially very powerful cooldown for keeping your tanking partner alive.

Adaptive swarm synergy with frenzy regen and thrash?

I honestly don’t know what covenant to use. I was also thinking of convoke to get some snap aggro on pull.

I’m considering it - looking at Necrolord as something that looks decent if I want to play multiple specs. As a guardian, I hope I can put it on myself so it’s basically a Rejuv I can cast in bear form? That’d fill a nice gap, and the damage too…Having multiple bouncing around sounds cool.

It’d be decent as a tank-healer and some off-DPS as a resto droid, and another DoT as feral - so, not majorly impactful for the specs, but works across them all as sort of a gap-filler.

Fleshcraft looks absolutely godawful though, which is what’s holding me back. I hope they change that to be less agonizing to use - seriously, 4 second channel is absolutely terrible, but if it was 1 sec, maybe 2, it would be a nice survivability boost.

Ultimately it’ll depend on a few changes and how the legendaries turn out. Bear seems to be leaning towards, weak at first but becomes fun/strong once you get your legendaries going, so it might be a secondary alt until I can get some of those.

That all said…The ‘increases periodic effects by 25%’ is looking to stack up nicely. Does it work on itself? What if I put it on myself, then use frenzied regen? Frenzied IIRC has that 20% healing boost, and then another 25%…Ysera’s gift is there, too, even if it’s not much.

Guardian/Feral main yes. I really want to play kokaine bear on Venthyr, but the responsible thing to do is play Fae which is a better all round covenant for guardian/feral.

Get real. You’re as condescending as they come. Also you’re wrong. I WISH I could you put on ignore but that’s not a function that exists in this forum lay out.

Never mind the ignore button is on the person’s profile now for some reason. Good to know.

Am I?

She posted this just the other day…

Tewa is once again spewing garbage about specs she knows nothing about. Her disdain for the Druid class as a whole is intolerable. You, and anyone who agrees with her are more than welcome to ignore me, (which is very much a thing in this forums layout).

Just Click on my profile.

Cheers!

Just like 90% of druids on this forum already have done ^^

To add to this, if someone has marked their profile as hidden, you can still ignore them.

Start a reply, and copy paste their name-server , go to your ignore list in profile, and manually add them.

I’m going to main guardian as a Venthyr.

I really want to exploit the Legacy of the Sleeper + Berserk/Incarn + Ravenous Frenzy combo.

Speaking of ignoring…

Hey scammer, You never got back on me on why “bears have more dodge”. Did you ignore my reply also? Lmao!

Cat got your tongue? Or did facts get in the way of your false narrative?

Yours truly.

Tical!

Well, I will be maining druid. I have alwyas do so. As some mention i will likely adjust the spec I use based on how I feel the spec i choose is doing. I will likely go NF because I feel its the correct one for my druid.

I must admit that i will also be leveling at least 1 toon for each covenant so I’m not really concerned

I’m not 100% sure that I’ll be maining Druid but its definitely on my short list, which to be fair, is every tank that isn’t a Warrior.

If I do go Druid I’ll likely go Night Fae just because Convoke seems like it’ll be a solid choice for all specs and I love playing all three roles.

Omg that was Tewa? On my warlock I’ve called them out all expansion long about the crying and hyperbole and generally not making sense. Also I’m glad to see they’ll be a monk now. Had serious monk envy for a long time. Any time I asked why they didn’t reroll to monk if it’s so great they just stopped responding lol

Right? Same, heh.

That night elf druid seems like a sexist mega douche. LOL

I keep going back and forth on which covenant. I’m also not in the beta because I’m a loser.

Guardian is in a really weird spot with them at the moment where literally all 4 of our covenants have been recently nerfed, which they obviously had to do because we were at the very bottom of every tanking metric.

Lore and RP - Nightfae, obviously.
As a Druid that’s kind of our thing. As a Tauren thats also my racial thing. As a fan of the books its also my personal interest thing. I’m hoping that there’s a mod released to turn off the squeaky voices at some point. (It would be cool if there was a mod to add the DK voice mod to the sparkly fairy people. Community please do this)

Solo play - Any
Necrolord has the extra healing to help make up for our excoriated affinity and frenzied regen. Not great for our world quest strategy of “pull all the things and kill all the things” unless your going to need it as a self heal while gearing up.

Kyrian is terrible for this with a generic half strength barkskin every minute.

Nightfae has a long enough cooldown that I’m not really feeling it for solo, and it would only be up for like every other world quest. Could be fun to pair it with Master shapeshifter and heart of the wild for some crazy fast moonking antics.

Revandreth has the LOS teleport, which could be amazing pre-flying for cutting corners. I can see some fun stuff like wild charging off a cliff and LOSing from there with the instant-cast teleport soulbind to get to hard-to-reach places.

Mythic + - Until recently I would say revandreth + Sleeper legendary + Incarnation = demonbearform = win. But revandreth got nerfed for us. hard. So it’s kind of a crapshoot between Nightfae and Necrolord IMO. I don’t think either of them stands out as great. Popping into boomkin and hitting nightfae sounds like a good time if you have a way to stay out of melee like typhoon and your in a situation where thats viable, so I guess it’s my go to here? maybe?

Raid - I think the ability to use Kindred spirits on the MT while your offtanking is a really great ability to have, and could trivialize some mechanics. None of the others really seem to stand out to me. Maybe selfcasting necrolord as a self heal.

PVP - I also think Kindred spirits sounds good as a way to prevent your healer or dps partner from dying / protecting an orb carrier etc etc. My thoughts are the necrolord is dispellable off enemies, and purgable off yourself or allies so thats going to suck. Revandreth and Nightfae are useless if they have CC (spoiler: they will have CC)

Just my thoughts on it. Maybe you see something I dont.

Thats a good response, but that Tical guy, man what a mega douche.

Maining guardian for dungeons. Probably going to go Kyrian, for a big chonk of extra threat every minute from one of my DPS pals.
