Who else is irritated thats in 2019 and we still dont have flying yet?

We may not have flying but Blizz sure has no problem splashing flying mounts for sale.

Eh to each their own. I prefer to not spend my time pissing about running from chore to chore. But w/e

damn right. where’s our jetsons technology?!

flying is fun, yet doing actual work is a chore?

IMHO you should be playing a flight simulator and not WoW if thats your view

not saying flying in game isnt a QoL thing, but it doesnt make or break the game.

I would actually play more if we had flying. You need to talk to my entire guild that left after “flying” was a naughty word to the devs. I guess 25 dollar flying mounts is ok though.

I don’t even know how much flight would affect wpvp anymore.

Went looking for trouble yesterday to finish my weekly welfare quest and had such a hard time finding people to fight.

Groups form and their initial plan is to find a neutral flightpoint in a high traffic area, a dungeon summoning stone or a CoA/incursion WQ. Then camp it ruthlessly until you get your 25.

I guess adding flight would rule out camping flight points like a butthole. Mounting and flying off is still the same as mounting and running off. Either you’re in range to slow/grip/dismount them or you’re not and you probably won’t catch them.

I think we’d benefit more from pvp areas or wq again. So when you’re spoiling for a fight you head straight there instead of walking around a dead shard for an hour.

Honestly, sharding is wpvps biggest problem.

They did learn their lesson. They learned that you, and the rest of the “Whaaaa, we want flaying now” crowd will never really quit and/or if you did quit you would just run back to the game.

Honestly, it is already easy to get around the world already. The only thing flight will bring is ease of material farming and completing archaeology.

It can be like an action movie. I like to ride into crowd, dismount and just start swinging. A dramatic entry.

Unlike walking up that loooong road. Yeah I see you guards and you probable see me. Let me just jog up this road and the climactic fight scene can begin.

Seconds later
guards in my head are going damn dude
when the hell are you getting up here?

Hold your horses guards, I am walking as fast as I can.

Not me. Blah blah blah

I’m pretty sure it’s because they learned they can milk the flyers for an extra month+ of subscription time. They drip-feed Pathfinder when the data shows people are running out of stuff to grind for.

I’ve given up on the idea since WoD launched, it saves me lots of stress to just except the fact that I won’t be flying again in WoW.

I dont think its impatience. I mean after five months you have seen everything possible that the ground has to offer. A year to a year and half later into an expansion is garbage. You have to admit. Which is one of the big reasons I cancelled my sub.

I’m more focused on True Warcraft Allied Races then Flying. Unless of course if they make flying mounts more unique.

Personally happy It’s not here yet. Should only be in after the expansion is over.

Except that math doesn’t check out at all. You move less than 3x faster while flying, and you are going to take flight paths to the nearest WQ anyway since flight paths have moved faster than flying mounts for like 5 expansions and you get the mount speed buff for taking one. There are like 8 flight paths per zone or some absurd number. At most I have to walk like 90 seconds to any given world quest at 120% speed as opposed to potentially 330%. You are saving a minute. Big whoop.

The only class it takes SIGNIFICANTLY less time to do WQs on with flying are collection quests as a druid since you can interact with objects from the air.

They literally explained in a very detailed post why they don’t like flying, I’ll leave you to google it on your own time.

Me too, if at any point I’m not enjoying WoW I go and play something else or I do something else entirely  .

The longer time spent in game, the more they can claim players are “engaged”. The more engaged players are, the more likely they are to buy Tokens or from the game store.

That’s the marketability of it: How well they can market the game to the shareholders.
