If you dont want to WPVP then you can turn off PVP mode. Why don’t you just admit that you want the 10% bonus and that you also want to be completely safe at the same time? People who like WPVP largely dislike flying for the reasons I listed. Why do you want to ruin our experience when you already have PVE mode specifically in place to allow you to PVE without hassle?
And here we are again with this “play it my way” line. I know that’s how you play, it’s why the game is not nearly as fun as it used to be. You dont have to keep repeating it.
Why insist on turning a once great mmo into a single player PVE experience when you can get that from so many other games? Play skyrim. It’s easy. You’ll never die.

IF you’re looking for proof in the subscriber numbers, then clearly more people enjoyed the game when the zones were large and designed with flying in mind…some even designed AROUND the assumption that players could fly! Because Wrath was peak subscriber, and in Wrath…we could all fly at level cap, if not before.
If you need more proof via subscriber numbers, when did the game start struggling? In WoD, the “we hate flying now and don’t want to design for it” expansion. A struggle which has continued along with the devs’ “war on flight”.
I mean. I can’t even imagine why you’d think subscriber numbers offered any support for your “people enjoy the game more without flying” premise at all.

Yeah I never deal with mobs, I either use Coarse Leather Barding or Feign Death on my main or go Invisible on this toon. So when people say anything about avoiding mobs on a flying mount I tell them Newsflash I already avoid them on my ground mounts.

It’s just a weak argument against flying that tries to use immersion as it’s basis. Doesn’t really work when…
1: MoP and Wrath were fairly immersive, despite being able to fly. Additionally, flying mounts are used a ton in the lore.
2: Nobody wants to fight every npc between point A and point B.
3: Like you said, we already have the means to avoid it without flying

Or if your class has a tank spec, you swap to tank, ride straight through everything without blinking, and swap specs when you reach your destination. The idea that flying is why we skip trash on roads is ridiculous.
Ahh, yes, I remember the “immersion” in WoD, watching all the NPCs mount up and fly off from that one tower in Shattrath, while I had to take an elevator down and tag after them on my ground mount. Or all the times I’ve had to borrow a flying mount from an NPC, or ride double with someone, because inexplicably my cloud serpent forgot how to fly.

The whole debate is ridiculous. If someone wants to be grounded, use a ground mount.
The most successful expansions in the game’s history had flying. The least did not. It’s clearly not helping to have it removed, and clearly wasn’t hurting to have it included.

Removal of flight in WOW is one of the worst decisions in gaming history.
Its literally the equivalent of taking the gift of flight away from humans.

This is not a bad argument, maybe you are right. Flying does make terrain unimportant though. I’ll wait and see how the net cannons work out.
It’s not ironic. I have many times accepted nerfs without complaint because I knew that, even though I liked being OP, it made the game less fun for others. For instance, I liked being able to teleport as a druid, but J understand that it was too powerful and made mages less unique.
I’m not in here screaming BUT I LIKE TELEPORTING IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT DO IT.
You’re advocating for taking away a feature that most players like. I don’t care how you justify it, it’s hilariously hypocritical.
If you want no flying, get on a ground mount.

Not really, half the time when I am outside of BFA I forget I can fly. I never liked the way flight was implemented and it should have been limited to certain areas but with adding in the ability for winged mounts to glide in areas that flight is disabled.
Now you’re making bad arguments. I’ve explained already why “dint fly if u dunt like 2 fli” is a bad argument.
Also most PVP players dont like flying. It’s PVE players who wanna fly a wingless purple tiger.
So what you’re saying is you want PVE players to suffer for PvP players.
So, you’re a hypocrite as I already pointed out. Fun, thanks for making this easy.

I don’t even need flying .thanks to unlocking almost 10 flight paths with war resources honorbound missions .i have all essential areas covered up .could reach them within 2 minutes time .
The only thing I want are the maps for Kul Tiras and zandalzar so that I can send them to all my alts .
I will only unlock flying by the end of expansion for my future leveling alts
Not flying until half way through the xpac has been the norm for the last 3 xpacs. We still have flight whistles and taxis all over the maps. So many crying babies in this game lol.
I played from Vanilla through Wrath exclusively on a PvP server and I’ve never understood this argument that PvPers don’t like flight. Back then, we loved it. We worked our keisters off to get to max-level and get flight as soon as possible because of the advantages it gave us. It allowed us to ambush our opponents on the ground and get to places under attack in WorldDefense quicker. Nothing was scarier than being on the ground mining a node and hearing a Netherwing bearing down on you.
I mean, you can’t mount up when in combat. If someone is out of range whether on a flying mount or a ground mount, they’re out of range.

Having flight whistles and taxis all over the map pretty much nullifies non flyers reasoning that flight allows us to skip content since we can already skip it without flying.

Fact is they sold flying mounts for cash money. Now they want to take flying away. Crap move through and through.

If travel is already so trivial, why hold flying hostage?
