It literally only consisted of revered with legionfall (simple) and explore the broken shore. How is that months of gated content?

Yeah it’s the timing that bugs me. I completed Part 1 for BfA on September 3rd. I had no issue doing the things (like I mentioned earlier). It’s the waiting between September and whenever patch 8.2 comes out that bugs me.

I agree. There’s reasonable and unreasonable, and almost a full year into the expansion, because it will probably be close to July before we can take to the skies- is asinine and unreasonable.

so hold on a sec my knife eared friend, taking issue with the time gating which seems to be what most people despise(myself included) is somehow not wanting to put in effort…i’d really love to see the logic on this one.
I finished pf part one on October 15th what exactly has there been since then to put effort into in order to work towards flying? i mean do you consider sitting around and auto piloting thru emissaries that have nothing to do with pf part 2 working towards it or something?

which is totally fine nothing wrong with a bit of rep grinding and some exploration
They always time enabling flight to coincide with most of the playerbase spending most of their time in the current expansion’s equivalent of Timeless Isle/Tanaan/Argus/etc. Why? Because at that point the only skipping everything with flight are almost guaranteed to be alts.
Pathfinder is the dev team’s way of ensuring that you don’t just shift your brain into bot mode and autopilot your way through the entirety of the expansion’s outdoor content.

That’s my gripe as well. I don’t care that I have more stuff to complete, but we’ve had two major content patches and it would be nice to at least be able to start working on part 2.

Ion - “You know, when we set out to ruin a lot of fun and try and make things unbearable, we wanted to really make it hurt, you know, make it feel personal. So, the team discussed it, and we really think what the players want is to have to earn the ability for their characters to run.”
Lore - “Like how I run around on my shaman?”
Ion - “Yeah, yeah, like that. See in the next expansion, we will make it so that for the first 7 months of the expansion, everyone has to walk everywhere, because that would make the world feel much bigger and help with our played time met-- I mean, it would be great for the game in general. At the 7 month mark, players that earn the ‘Running with the wolves’ achievement can then run.”
Lore - “Yeah! That’s a great idea and makes sense!”
Ion - “I know because I know what you and everyone else wants. The whole team does! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Next, to use mounts, you will have to get another achievement that will be made available in the next to the last patch called, ‘Are you seriously still paying us?’ and then when the new expansion hits, we will unlock flying in the previous expansion because by then you have- ha ha- you’ve HA HA HA, sorry it’s hard to say with a straight face. Ahem. You’ve earned it.”
