Which is the worst state for a Zombie apocalypse?

The worst states would be the states with high metropolitan population and geography that does not allow easy isolation. Another factor to consider is peoples’ ability to defend themselves. I’m not talking merely gun rights (although it is a factor), but also peoples’ knowledge of basic survival skills such as hunting and finding water. Metropolitan areas, regardless of state, would be the highest risk areas, with rural areas being a bit safer. Access to mountain passes (mountains, not hills, looking at you east coast) allows for easier isolation than water barriers such as rivers. Colorado (not Denver, Boulder, or Fort Collins), Utah (Outside of Salt Lake) Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming would be good states in which to survive. Costal states and great lake states would likely fair much worse.

Maybe Siberia?

Plus. Many forget about simple factors. Adding zombies into our real world. No rules were added what zombies could and couldn’t do or survive.

So, in reality, they would fall victim to the environments they are in, rural and densely populated. Ever been in St. Paul Minnesota (few million in population) in winter? -22 degrees (not including the wind chill that can make it feel like -60 yay!)
Or been in the extreme dry and humid states during the summer? Yeah, still not fun.

Since no rules applied to the zombies, and they just standard ones. There is no real threat after a month of the outbreak.
Weather will take out majority of them,

Magic zombies or realistic zombies?

Realistic zombies, anyplace with extreme cold or high humidity would destroy the flesh in a matter of days, so the most temperate areas will suffer for the longest.

Magic? Need more info.

I’m thinking metropolitan areas are being underestimated. For example, The Los Angeles metropolitan area has more than 13 million people in it. Even if the zombie outbreak has a 90% infection rate that’s still 1.3 million people unaffected which would allow for fairly large and organized defensive areas around police stations, national guard sites and so on. Though California has strict gun laws, there are plenty of guns out here along with medical facilities, construction for defensive works and so on.

This is assuming shambling and minimally intelligent zombies. Something along the line of Game of Thrones and forget it as outbreaks would have to be dealt with massive destruction until biological or other weapons discovered.

Zombies eat brains, so that takes most of the South off the table.

In reality a zombie apocalypse would be easy to contain. Like zero incubation time, obvious symptoms, only transmits on direct contact(of which the thing doing the transmitting is super slow). It has all the hallmarks of the easiest virus to quarantine ever.

Plus guns have to be reloaded, blades and melee weapons do not…SOl if it breaks or gets stuck though…

LOL…CA by a longshot. Most of the people here are already brain dead morons.

Not to mention that zombies in popular media have impossible jaw strength for being partially decayed. In reality just wearing a thick winter coat would make you mostly immune unless in a very large horde of them

See now I was going to say most of California or New York is off the table since zombies would starve there lol.

California, I mean have you seen what they call food? No way a zombie could survive long there.

Oh, you mean for people to survive the zombies, probably chicago or new york. The best place would probably be the midwest or central europe, where there aren’t as many people living.

I enjoyed it (obviously) because they did put a little comedic spin on your usual zombie apocalypse type shows. Now admittedly some did get a little bit out there silly. Haha

The higher the population density, and the more “average” the temperatures are, the worse it will be. Most of the coast would be hosed.

If we’re being realistic about how the human body handles different temperatures without protection, anywhere moderately hot or cold would be easy mode since zombies don’t tend to hydrate themselves or put on additional clothing. Alaska, Nevada, and Texas would probably be alright.

Florida, because you won’t be able to tell which ones the zombies are.

Any state controlled by Democrats because they would just invite them all in and give them welfare to keep voting Democrat. The dead are one of their biggest voting blocs.

They will build cages for them and give them just enough brains to keep them alive but still in an agitated state so they can easily blame the other guy for their problems.
