Thats a contradiction.

AMD more or less = Intel in the CPU department for a few years now.
ABS is their prebuilt gaming PC brand but they have a custom PC building option. You pick the parts off their website and they put it together for $100.
Do you think this is a good option?
Since you can then pick the better name brands right?
Yeah but if you know as little as you claim, you’ll probably want knowledgeable people to chime in. Other stores do the same thing, we have a place called Canada Computers up here and they do it for $50.
Could try asking here. If you see a guy named Kagthul suggest something, take his advice:

Yes the only way I’d do it is if they build it all for me with the parts i pick, idc about the $100 building fee.
I’d also want it shipped to a UPS store for pickup.
if you are only using it for gaming then the tracemr will be perfectly fine for years to come depending on the ram speed i do suggest putting 32 gb of ram in it though 16gb tends to be the bare minimum these days for a gaming pc’s. assuming you are gonna upgrade your monitor too ? see a lot of people buy a pc 4k ready then continue to use a 1080p monitor not actually using any of the benefits of the new pc lol
if you plan to stream code/compile develop games 3d modeling / a lot of multitasking etc y40 would be more suited due to the extra core /ram performance.
the 40 series gpu price to performance is really not worth it linus tech tips said the same (highly recommend to watch his stuff) the 3080 will play pretty much anything you want but again if you are looking at 3d modeling streaming etc the extra cuda cores / clock speed will be better suited here
If if I buy the 2nd option I will buy 32g of ram at best buy when I pick up the PC.
So it would end with 48 gigs of ram.
Would be an extra $100
might be able to open 10 chrome tabs poggers jokes
10 anime tabs!
None, building your own is the cheapest, also get a Ryzen cpu.
Just build your own. I’m stupid and I did it. Will save money and it will be better. I had to buy a 6900xt when we had the shortage because it was the only thing available. I would recommend getting a nvidia gpu, but the amd is great and no slouch. For just WoW and mmos amd would be fine if you don’t care about RTSS…etc
Lol I’m in a similar boat, my computer is fairly old and I’ve thought about getting a new one, but I really just play classic wow on it so why bother?
There’s a forum for this. Since it’s not actually about WoW.

Thanks Karen.
It is about wow, the new computer will be running wow on it.
It doesnt seem to really save money anymore.
Prebuilts have come a long way.
The quality has improved but a lot of gaming prebuilts come with fancy cases and RGB stuff that if you don’t care about you can save a lot of money on picking your own parts.
Thats a good point.
Like ifound a micro center that someone mentioned and its 60 miles away which isnt far enough to not drive there so i checked out their site.
Literally building the same kind of PC as the $2500 1 costed more than $2500 with the build fee which was $240.
Using the cheaper parts that were the same brands.
It’s not, though, and it’s why that forum I linked exists.
Thanks Karen.
I get that you’re desperate for interaction on this forum. You’re still posting your thread in the wrong forums. Sorry if that hurts your feefees.
