An I5 will last just as long as an I9. The only difference is multi-tasking capabilities
because it’s literally double the price? It’s not really worth arguing with you over what is “future proof” stupid term anyways. The OP can get what is in his budget. I personally got an i7 13700k because I do image rendering for work but if i was strictly just gaming, yeah i’d 100% get an i5 13600k
Your both confusing an i7 with the i9.
i5 > i7 > i9
Did you read the ops post. Both computers are within his budget, and they did nit want to build a PC.
What Lul is getting at is why spend $2500 when the $1800 PC will do the job but at cost of 10 or so FPS
The op asked to choose the best option. I did with a explanation of why one of the two options is better.
also OP , If there is a K variant it could potentially be useful in situations where your gpu may be having issues. The KF variant does not have integrated graphics so you literally can’t troubleshoot if your gpu dies youd have to buy an entirely new gpu
He could always use the 1080 as a test card
Yea I don’t know anything about that I’m hella stupid.
Yea I do not want to build it like I said above, just dont want to deal with the shipping headaches I hear about, where if at best buy I can just go right to best buy to refund it.

can that second option get 32 gb of ram?
I am a big fan of 32gb minimal. just a personal preference. I do photo editing (on large patches of RAWs), can do video and when in the mood…games modding.
the BGS creation kit, like most of thier products, is a bug filled, memory inefficient beast you jsut feed it lots of RAM to appease it in some way lol.
I can’t knock BGS here too much. I can say the same thing for most of Adobe’s product line too. its jsut less buggy. Adobe ain’t scare to take its share of resources. and then some more.
I could have recommended a decent store where I built mine from.
Yes if I get the second option I will buy the ram before I leave to install it
userbenchmark is pure trash
Those are interesting finds.
Does Newegg build it all for you?
I was looking at the other computer you linked from Best buy it’s just that people told me to stay away from AMD
Then why didn’t you?
You’re asking a bunch of 45+ year old boomers that think their 10 year old intel that runs wow at 25 fps is the pinnacle of gaming…Go to a real forum and ask this lol
id go 1849 option. Its a better overall deal and you get it a week earlier
My i7 9700k with 32 gigs of ram and 3070 rtx runs retail with max graphics and ray tracing high at 120+ fps in stormwind.
Wrath classic is 240 plus fps on same computer with max graphics.
I am a 49 year old boomer.
Its boomers that are responsible for a lot of the tech you use.
Are you implying that you’re responsible for this tech? Of course older people made things I use, that doesn’t mean the vast majority of them have any comprehension of technology or how it works like a younger person does.
