This is an insane comment, ignore pain is very good and fits naturally into the rotation.
It’s not supposed to be a major defensive, dude. Also, if you use a 500k absorb every 10s that’s 1.5 mil every 30s, which is more than what most classes have for defensives.
That’s also not taking into account impending victory, fueled by violence + leech, Or defensive stance.
It mitigates ALL damage.
Have you ever played a healer and healed an arms war vs another class?? Warrior is insanely tanky.

I think war is tanky too.
Ignore pain is only good at mitigating chip damage, you probably get overhealed more than ignore pain prevents. Spending 100 rage to press it every 11 second over the course of a minute or it drops completely. Just doesnt feel good IMO.

I mean, how do you not have situations where you’re not connecting to a target, are taking damage, and have rage, though??
The only time I could ever see myself not pressing it is if I somehow had 100% uptime and wasnt in any danger ever and could slam instead and even then it’s rare that I dont have an opportunity to OP/MS instead.

This is just not true. ignore pain mitigates 50% of dmg taken up to like 2 mil in pvp. that’s turning a juicy 1.5M evic, bite, Mortal, whatever into a 750k hit… while still soaking that as you put “chip damage”

Its only true if you’ve stacked the shield 4 times over 44 seconds though rite? Do you know how many GCDs 44 seconds is?
When i tested in town per press I get a 390k shield.
And thats if you press it exactly every 11 seconds, otherwise the shield drops.
Id like it a lot better if it didnt drop after 11 seconds so itd be easier to stack.
Ignore pain isn’t on the GCD so you can macro it into overpower, or whatever you like if you find yourself forgetting to press it. It’s a really good button… Idk what else to say here… I guess try never pressing it and see how that feels.

I dont ever spec it and it feels grear.
Ive tried macroing it to other abilities and it feels terrible unless you happen to be on target every 11 seconds on the dot.
Just my opinion.
you should reevaluate that opinion, man. it’s really good.

DH is in the trenches
Our defensives need a buff to their effectiveness or they at least need shorter cooldowns.

Warriors are the toddlers of wow. They have a myopic, entitled viewpoint and it’s ALL THAT MATTERS FOREVER AND EVER AMEN! They throw a tantrum until they get a mountain of buffs which leads to further crying because a bad player is a bad player and no amount of buffing will make them exceptional players.
I get the feeling that all warrior players were the kid that kept using “dynamite” when playing rock, paper, scissors… but they were completely serious every time.

Oh dang, that post popped off. Seems like a lot of people agree.
I’ve said it for years, but one thing they need to do is allow Owlkin Frenzy’s instant procs to be used on Regrowth as well as Starfire.
Wouldn’t even be very good, seeing as how weak Regrowth is, but it’d be something.
That’s because you’re one of the few unbiased warriors.

Boomkin only dps spec that has an appropriate amount of defensives in game. Someone gonna quote me all mad, but its true. DPS self sustain is a large reason games always end up feeling damp then we blame healers like its not the fact every dps has a wall / immunity / self healing / passive DRs / insane mobility

Sure, you could make that argument, but when only one spec has the idealized “appropriate” amount of defensives, then in relative terms that spec is undertuned.
DH darkness is trash, useable while stunned would make it better. Feels so crappy to drop it and everyone just walks out of it a second later, because you need to keep attacking to keep the leech going, feel like it’s meant for a ranged class.

I think worst defensives in game is subjective and depending on matchup.
Vs no purge mage has the strongest defensives in game and feels immortal.
Queing into a hunter/shaman or triple purge comp with md feels the worst in game.
Esp now that hunter tranq shot rips 2 buffs, hunter/shammy together rips 4 at a time goodbye shields/alt.
I think EVERY spec has some sort of way they feel against soft/hard counters tbh it is what it is. Just subjective and matchup based.

Zero defensives should be able to be used when ccd, maybe barkskin/ps since it has specifically always worked that way. Game would be better if this was true.
On paper sure but some classes have been built around it. Blink stun, ice block for example.
Warlocks pact/resolve. Barkskin etc
