Funny because playing retail in mythic+ and raids is a lot more difficult than pressing 1 or 2 buttons in vanilla while paying attention to the 2 mechanics as well. Even Naxx has less mechanics than normal raids in retail.
If you’re going to insult someone then at least have your information correct when doing so.
You are wrong though.
I mean you could of even taken the literal 120 seconds it took to simply go fact check it on warcraftlogs.

Top warlock parse on patchwerk, with a single cast of corruption which is the beginning of the fight. Also if you check the others the majority of the top 50 dont even cast corruption.
So yes, you are wrong.
Where does the raid wide dodge % come from? Is that a talent or spell?
Insect Swarm. I’m calling it raid wide for brevity, but its on target.
The question is whether it stacks with scorpid sting, if it does that’s 7% dodge (IS +2, ss +5).
2% chance to miss is not equal to 2% dodge
2% miss = what percentage dodge?
- Scorpid Sting does not stack. If there are multiple hunters in the group or raid, designate one to use Scorpid Sting when appropriate. Additionally, it does not stack the hit reduction effect from [Insect Swarm

Actually it’s possible that was a wrath change
I thought insect swarm only affected hit%. That doesn’t affect dodge chance. Just means the mob has less chance to hit you.
Yeah, I could be more clear. I was using the two interchangeably that - may not be correct.
The reasoning is because of how mitigation is calculated and the difference in levels between a boss enemy and a player character. Another point is it affects the boss directly and not the players mitigation table. So it’s like slightly lower then 2% but just barely. The part that people miss is that it does take 2% off the bosses chance to hit but it doesn’t directly translation into dodging 2% since they are higher level then the player character. Which is why it’s not worth the debuff slot in classic, TBC I doubt it will be useful in raids even with the 40 debuff slots just because of the raw throughput lose that will probably be the trade off.
I thought I had it saved because there was another post a crazy long time ago on the classic forums that had all the math for it but I can’t find it now.
Regardless its going to be one of those things we have to wait and see because I have seen information about it not stacking with hunter stings and I can not honestly remember when that was. I want to say you’ve never been able to stack it but I have been surprised before.
I would keep actively looking for it but I am sick and barely awake, but if I find it I will post it here. Otherwise we won’t truly know until we get to play around with the TBC mechanics. However, I am like 95% confidence it’s slightly worse then 2% dodge for a tank.

You also want moonkins for imp FF.
You will want 1 S Priest as a mana battery in each healer group. You will be taking at least 2 in 25 man raids and possibly 3 since they do decent damage and are used as a mana battery.
Funny how I really don’t care maybe you should try going back to that game then?
Oh wait that’s right, Shadowlands, a game that literally just came out is already dead even with all its “challenging, mechanics based gameplay mmm a huh.” So challenging it can’t even retain players for more than 3 months.

Probably useful on a couple niche fights like Ros and Brut.
I mean maybe but it’s really going to come down to really needing it so there might be a good chunk of guilds that use it on prog since TBC (while still much easier then most retail designs) is much more difficult then classic bosses.
I’d love to see it but realistically most groups are just going to run 1 shadowpriest. You might see 2 on progression for long fights. You’ll almost never see 3
An ideal raid comp will generally see 1 boomkin because of improved Faerie Fire. (On top of other useful abilities like innervate, brez, and insect swarm)
The value of improved Faerie Fire for the Hunter Phys DPS group as well as any other physical dmg dealers cannot be overstated.
It is a 3% physical hit buff for the entire raid (Which allows DPS to itemize for more haste and crit) – the value of 3% hit is worth about 2 slots of gear for EACH of these classes.
With that being said, Elemental shaman and Shadow Priest will always have at least one spot due to how important their buffs are (totems, bloodlust and shadow weaving debuff+mana battery).
Most raids will have at least 1 mage (Most likely Arcane post Tier 5 and maybe Fire in late T6 – It will be interesting to see how quickly bosses drop – If bosses are dropping quickly Arcane mage could be extremely competitive in T5+ content and maybe more will be stacked)
Then finally, Warlocks will have about 3+ in an ideal raid comp. Generally, 3 Destro and sometimes a raid will bring 1 more as an affliction lock.
It is possible the Meta could shift and raids could end up bringing more Warlocks but only time will tell.
