Where were the Slime Cat in LFR complains before today?

I think the only change they’re likely going to make would be the wording on the achievements. I’d be shocked if they change their minds about LFR and the slime cat mount.

Normal raids take like maybe 2 hours max to clear for even the most average guild.

It’s the same phenomenon we saw with flying. Everyone was fine with flying for years, until people saw an opportunity to say things they knew would upset others. And then the “anti-flying” people suddenly appeared out of nowhere. (You know, the “anti-flying” players with lots of flying mounts they went out of their way to get…)

People are jerks, quite often.

I got my WoD rings entirely from LFR.
Not giving Jelly Cat to LFR serves no purpose other than exclusion and isn’t beneficial in any way. This seems like a no-brainer move but let’s see if this is really a hill they choose to die on.

For everyone that was planning to only do LFR just don’t sub for the entirety of S4. Dont get baited into subbing & paying for boosts to pad their wallets.

You guys need stand together and vote with your wallets otherwise nothing is ever going to change.

I am fortunate enough to be in a raiding guild but as soon as I full clear normal and get KSM im done until DF.

Will save my gold for sub when new xpac comes out.

On these forums you will see the same people just replying to trigger certain responses. They don’t care that it was initially assumed that LFR would be a route to get the mount, all they are interested in is telling people to do Normal raids.

If you look at my post history, I don’t try to put others down if they are not able/capable of doing a specific difficulty, but many people feel the need to express how well they play and how much better they are.

Alas, this won’t be the last thread on the topic and although I highly doubt this will change the requirement - it doesn’t hurt to try. Good luck to the ones affected by this change.

Slime Cat? WHAT IS THIS ABOUT!?
Anyway I’m excited for Season 4! Gonna get some good IL stuff from LFR Raiding to perhaps do my first normals! Finally! Playing the game again!

That’s easy for you to say. For people with painful/limiting disabilities that make even casual play difficult, trying to do even LFR is too much to bother with the majority of the time. For the mount, I would put myself through that hell. But trying to get in on normal runs, with gear (and performance) that isn’t up to BS pug standards?

Don’t follow BS pug standards and create your own group?

these players do not exist. with the tools given to us to find guilds, communities and to run your own PUG, any person, even without knowledge of the fights, can run a normal raid and clear up to jailer. How do I know? because my raid fell apart at Halondrus and I was the only one left. I took that lockout, listed it on Premade Groups and we killed Jailer, me for my first time.

Everyone’s got a threshold and they accept and are ok with players below that threshold not being able to do the content. There’s no disability that prevents you from running your own pug in normals but doesn’t prevent you from running LFR. If I’m wrong, tell me what that disability is.

They do, in fact, exist, and none of those tools will help people who lack the skill to be tolerated by the rest of the Normal group, can only play in short bursts, are frequently called away from the game, have social anxiety or other issues, have medical issues that impact their ability to play, etc. No amount of in-game group finding tools is going to cure my ADD or repair the brain damage that left me with an area of distorted vision I frequently lose my pointer and mobs in.

I get that raiding has stuff I can’t get anymore, and I’ve come to terms with that. But these achievements specifically said “any difficulty” which meant this was something I could get at my own pace and skill level, and I was looking forward to that. Last minute they pulled the rug out.

People just like being jerks for no reason to make themselves feel better. Bottom line is that the mount should have been for everyone of every play style like they have been saying for months now. They keep bragging about being inclusive to all kinds of players, yet they keep doing stuff like this. Not everyone is a social butterfly and wants to be in a raiding guild. Some of us just like to play with a couple friends.

If you can finish LFR with your disabilities you can finish Normal

How ableist of you to tell someone what they can do with their disabilities.

I’m not scared of being called ableist by you because you’re misusing that word to shield yourself from the question. Tell me what mechanic makes Normal impossible to contemplate completing but can be done in LFR with ease.

Me and you both have a threshold of required ability and we accept that people below that threshold of ability can’t play this videogame or get every reward because while the game needs to be accessible (and it’s much more accessible than when I started in BC), the need for accessibility should not compromise the integrity of the game.

I think blizzard is right to encourage people to group up for content because this is a social, group-based, massively multiplayer game and I think it’s been a mistake to make so many concessions to casual players. With the current tools to find guilds and communities, with xfaction groups and with xrealm guilds likely coming up soon, it’s never been easier to find likeminded players.

Solo players should be encouraged to group up but those who are stubborn about not doing so should not get any further concessions. Quit if you must.

Big ole echo chamber here. All this fuss for a slime mount that doesn’t even slime. I’m sure if your desire is to get it, you’ll get it.
Maybe they change their minds and put it in any difficulty, alls well as well. I kinda wished the game had a content update instead of a slime mount that doesn’t slime.

LFR is group content.

LFR is broken up into wings so that people can play for a small amount and take breaks. You can’t do that with pugs.

of the social kind? not really.

You can do it even easier with pugs if you start and run the raid. After you’re done raiding, announce that the raid’s over for the time being, kick everyone and log out. When you’re free again, relist the raid starting at the boss and watch people fill.
