Where were the Slime Cat in LFR complains before today?

Please, I don’t need “luck” for that.

Unless you are trying to get it on the very last moment of the season there shall be plenty of groups willing to run normal.

Hell, you could find groups to run normals easily for the first few months of every season.

There is s stark wording difference in previous achievement labeling.

“any difficulty” vs “normal raid or higher”

You can’t blame folks for being upset. Blizzard has used different wording where things are clear and no confusion can occur.

I realize everyone’s circumstances are different - But my guild more or less folded in early BFA because our leader was hospitalized and eventually passed away, and no one was motivated to take up the reins and keep it going after she was gone (A few tried along the way, but it always fizzled out pretty quickly)

Now - I’ve been in this guild since MoP, and I’m still in said guild, and have friends there, but it’s pretty dead now, there is no active raid team anymore, and I haven’t done an organized raid since Legion. Honestly as I got away from it - I found I enjoyed having the free time I used to devote to raiding back to do other things. So I never really had much motivation to seek a replacement guild. Nor seek organized raiding again.

So yeah - It sucks to see such a cool mount locked behind content I haven’t had any desire to touch for like 5 years. I see a lot of people saying, “Just do normal” or “Normal is easier anyway” … And I’m sure that’s true if you’re still someone in the raiding loop. It more or less was back when I used to raid - Sure we could knock out normal as a guild much easier than some LFR pugs tend to go. BUT…

What’s NOT so easy when you’re NOT in the raiding loop is - Convincing a pug to pick up a random guy who hasn’t devoted any time to gearing up or raiding at all to just take me along. Not just for ONE full raid, but THREE full raids, no less. Again, haven’t set foot in an actual Non-LFR raid for five years… was plenty competent when I did, but haven’t sweated min/maxing my numbers for QUITE a while now (nor do I have any desire to start sweating it again). Getting a group to take me now? At the end of the expansion? Yeah that sounds like pulling teeth to me. Not usually a ton of people looking for carries with no-experience at this stage. Mostly groups farming gear that want to be as quick and efficient as possible, and don’t have time for anyone who’s that green.

So. Yeah. Would have been nice to see this in LFR.

The one silver lining is - So many people are complaining about it, I don’t think it’s impossible they might not still change it.

You spelled, “elitist gatekeepers,” wrong and I’ll fix it for you.

People suck.

Pff I do. I cannot find groups for the life of me. Luckily my guild runs normal on Sunday so I am sure they are going to do all three of them multiple times for everyone who wants in.

edit: Not everyone is the fortunate and group finder is not what it used to be.

OP makes a good point.

No one thought it was a prestige mount and now its important that it is. Honestly after how bad Shadowlands has been Blizzard should just be thankful people are still playing this awful expansion

The real clown move on this is changing the requirement less than a week before the season goes live.

Yeah I was looking forward to doing lfr for the mount, just casually do a wing a day after work or something
Oh well, no reason to be subbed until Dragonflight really
Kind of a weird choice by them if they want casuals to engage with the new content

Well if they are not going to give too the LFR difficultly…then just wait a couple years and go in wipe the raid yourself or with a friend or two…if its not removed at the end of SL…

No, and a casual won’t die if they have to do normal

Well good then no one dies and they can add it to LFR. Win, win.

Everyone crapping on casual and LFR players do understand that those subs support development of higher tier content, right? If not for casuals, this game would be even worse for everyone.

Casual debate is beside the point. People just want to unplug and have fun and LFR does do that for some folks. Queues are so bad that this would have actually been a boon for participation. This mount did not have the language in the achievement that would have led anyone to believe it was going to be restricted from LFR. Blizzard has labeled such achievements clearly so there would be no confusion.

When they say ANY difficulty, it means all and LFR should be included in that.

This is a bad move on Blizzard.

And this is why they keep failing…

They still dont get it.
The 1% arent the majority Blizz.

Fun fact, this mount is a FOS and will not be obtainable after SL.

Which is also why this last minute change is, dare I say it, a slap in the face.

Okay didn’t know the statics of what kind mount it was…thank you for the info…yeah the wording really is a slap in casual players that only usually only do LFR which is me now…my guild fell apart years ago and we don’t raid normal anymore…I will check out Perky Pugs see if they are going to get a run up …usually when its a mount like this AOTC type they will make up group to get it.

Queue as a tank! (Assuming you’re on that DK)

They shouldn’t be long with it being back in season on the dated rotation.

They can’t do that, they are to afraid of rejection from the group to even queue

You do more sitting and afking waiting for a raid to fill up. Especially since you can’t do questing or anything while the raid is filling. That is more boring to me especially on slow days.

I was excited to do lfr but now that is dead in the water. Thanks blizzard.

Only if a certain realm is running the pug and invites everyone under the sun
