Where are the Devs? Lack of discussion

Why didn’t you include the latest Soar debacle topics?

Exactly, I don’t even raid anymore. It’s just wrong in principle to advertise it for three months and then change it at the last hours. I have plenty of friends who do still run LFR who are pissed.

Ok fine, they are reliable enough for you.

Yes… that’s what I said…

What difference would that have made? If they corrected it months ago what would you have done differently? It’s not like you spent the past 3 months prepping and that’s all for naught.

Pretty much.

The ONLY time the forums get this riled up is when it’s deeply rooted in the player base.

If it’s just the forumgoers, you get like 2 threads max.

Looking like jerks for 5 days vs. looking like jerks for 3 months. My guess.

We wouldn’t have expected it and changed our plans for season 4.

I wouldn’t have renewed my sub. Which is probably what blizzard did this for. To bait casual players into another sub.

Just because you wouldn’t have done something different doesn’t mean others won’t.

And preordering. And the 6 month sub mount.

All available before they decided to tell us to ignore the wording of the achievement.

Honestly I bought the xpac with blizzard balance. Otherwise I’d have gotten a refund one way or another if they go through with this, even if my account ended up locked.

I don’t think people understand this isn’t about a mount. It’s about the principle of the matter.

I think 1 mount affecting whether people preorder Dragonflight or not is a bit of a stretch.

It’s not about a mount. It’s the principle.

It’s about them treating casual players like we don’t matter by telling us we should have assumed “clear the raid” meant in normal plus. Except you know, LFR is literally Looking for RAID.

Meanwhile every single glory achievement states “In normal or higher”, but it’s just us misinterpreting, amirite?

Yeah it might be a stretch. My bitterness is probably showing.

I’ve been leveling all my alts to 60 because I thought LFR was going to be hopping and I was going to take advantage of the Fated week for the Nine boss. Feels like I wasted my time since nobody will have any real motivation to do LFR now and queue times will remain at hour+.

If that was really the case, then “casual players” would also be up in arms over the Mythic+ and PvP mounts.

This is about Blizzard not proofreading their achievement text.

I fully expect them to announce on Monday (maybe Tuesday) that they’re adjusting the achievement to match the in-game text and have it available on all difficulties. And then everyone will talk about how great they are for listening to everyone.

Huh no offense but this statement doesn’t make sense.

When has casuals ever cared about high level content? They wouldn’t be casuals if they did.

Please point out where we were led to believe we’d be able to obtain either of those. I’ll wait.

Meanwhile, the slime Saber quite literally says just clear the raid.

You are comparing apples to platypi and acting like you make sense.

And tbh brewa, you should know better that Tovi and I agreeing on something is a sign something was messed up massively.

My point is that the whole “they’re forcing us to raid to get this mount” thing is silly, since there’s never a “they’re forcing us to M+ to get this mount” or “they’re forcing us to pvp to get this mount” hate train.

We. Have. Never. Been. Led. To. Believe. For. 3. Months. We’d. Get. The. M+. Mount. In. Heroic. Dungeons. Or. gladiator. In. Random. Bgs.

Ok as a casual/solo player, I have never cared about KSM, Gladiator or RBG mounts because I’ve know since TBC for at least one category that I will never own those mounts.

However, since someone pointed out that the achievement said “any difficulty” and it said that in game I’ve known that I could get the Slime Cat.

It wasn’t until a blue responded to Peppermint a couple of days ago that I had the rug pulled out from under me.
