Every race should be able to be every class.
And Horde players should be allowed to gank Vulpera in Orgrimmar but life is full of injustices.
They’re over there
Okay, this one had me in tears.
Considering you’re unable to do any challenging content in the game I don’t think I’d have to worry much about getting attacked by you.
I don’t play retail for anything other than collecting transmog appearances.
So we agree I’d wipe the floor with you. Like I said.
No one said anything even remotely resembling a meltdown, so slow your roll. You’re the one getting heated here, for absolutely no reason.
As I said; From a story/lore perspective it’s dumb. I followed that up with saying that the majority of the players here could care less about that.
No one said they won’t do it. As a matter of fact, Blizz has already said they are doing it. Story/lore concerns certainly aren’t going to stop them. If the previous few expansions have shown us anything, it was that they have absolutely no problems taking a steaming poo on those aspects of the game.
And, it’s already being done; See Lightforged warlocks.
As I said; It is what it is.
/shrugs
Still waiting on this, and there was a perfect opportunity to add them in back in SL. When we did the ritual to help Tyrande release some of that Night Warrior power, it could have spread out into Night Elves present and was the basis for the first generation of Paladin seeking retribution for the events on Darkshore.
lmao ok that was funny
If we can have a Lightforged Dreadlord we can have Lightforged warlocks. The lore behind them would need to have them being Warlocks before becoming Lightforged. So Eredar for whatever reason defected and became Lightforged. We already know that the Naaru would give that chance to become Lightforged to being outside of the Draenei. The lore can be made to fit for Lightforged Warlocks and it can still work with the cultural ban on warlocks for some races.
Here’s the thing though;
Those warlocks? Still fueling their spells with souls. The horrific thing that decimated the Draenei homeworld and countless others, and led to the founding of the Army of the Light to begin with.
Lore/Story; A one in a million exception of a redeemed Lightforged Warlock for some truly fantasical reason? Maybe.
A few thousand player characters for same? Yeah, not so much.
Like I said; It is what it is.
But no; At the end of the day, it’s dumb from a story/lore perspective.
I think we need Void Elf Paladins…
Considering we have Eredar (Draenei) “Lightforged” Warlocks. . .
Night Elf Paladin was hinted at in Legion’s Paladin Order Hall. . .
I would say that greed is the horrific thing that decimated the Draenei home world not warlocks. Warlocks are driven by greed and/or personal desires, it is not a “noble” class, but lay what happen to the Draenei at the feet of all warlocks is not correct.
There also would be more than a one in million exception of a redeemed Lightforge Warlock. You have to remember that all the members of the Burning Legion were there because they chose that. There were many children left behind as well. Velen’s son is a prime example of that. Do you not think that those freed from the Legion would not seek to reunite with their long lost love ones? That they would not try for redemption?
As for fueling their spells with souls, that is all they know. If using what they know to protect what is important is the only option then that will do that. At the end of the day, no matter the class, you are still going to kill something or someone. Warlocks are just able to use everything, including their soul. It is not like we destroy the soul they can have a chance to be reborn again.
Lore and story is not a static object it grows and changes. Your and my understanding of WoW’s lore is different so your take is your take.
In the immortal words of Kevin Hart—DAMN!
Qft.
Again, in the words of the immortal Kevin Hart—“DAMN!”
I would just say you need to read/follow the lore more.
Nothing I said in the post you’re responding to is incorrect. And no; It’s not a matter of perspective.
Elune will give her strength to her moon knights soon.
I would suggest you do the same. You have a set view on how they would treat freed or defected members of the Burning Legion. If they are following the lead of Velen then they would be forgiven and allowed to enter the Lightforged ranks. This is not a new theme to WoW when Death Knights were allowed to rejoin the factions and even Demon Hunters. This follows the themes of forgiveness, redemption, and unity that Blizzard has been pushing lore wise. Like I said your take is your take.
We have an entire expansion where Night Elf shamans are constantly showcased… why isn’t anyone asking about that?
