When you backfill into a bg in progress

You should get 20 seconds to change your talents.

I’m getting tired of being backfilled at 14:30 because people always quit some bg, but my talents are for a different type.

I’d rather it just automatically count as a win regardless of outcome as long as you stay. That, or don’t punish with deserter for leaving for the first minute after you join a match so you can decide whether to stay or not.

I agree that sucks. Especially when you encounter a situation that if were in the correct talent setup would have altered the outcome.

Waaay too many “in-progress” bgs on Alliance side, unfortunately :-1:

Probably because most of the time its rediculously obvious just by looking at the scoreboard who is gonna win. One team gets 1 healer the other gets {insert good number for BG size}. Pretty obvious which team is gonna win. Not even worth playing those matches.

Too many ret Paladins and balance druids, not enough healers lol.

I call that “Joining a Fail In Progress”

Wtf is wrong with you?

Just tired of getting filled into in progress losing BGs is all, and I can’t leave without getting deserter. I just want to play a normal match from start to finish, is that too much to ask?

No.
But asking for a win tally regardless of outcome is.
Disgusting millennials.

That’s my fee for wasting my time in an in progress match. That or let me opt out/leave them within the first minute of loading in without deserter so I don’t have to waste my time.

I have very limited time to play this game and getting stuck in that trash is very frustrating.

If an instance needs to fill two horde, it’ll take two from the 100 horde players queueing at that time. If an instance needs to fill two alliance, it’ll take two from the 30 alliance players queueing at that time.

Pulled those numbers out of nowhere but you get the premise. Even if desertion is the same across factions, you’ll still be more likely to backfill as alliance simply because there are fewer of you queueing.

That’s a good point Erelir, I had forgotten about the (overall) smaller Alliance PvP player-pool, but your example does make sense

So tired of filling into wintergrasp where its like already decided

^^^^ I know it’s somewhat offtopic, but I do notice Alliance tends to stack the following:

  • Night Elf Hunter
  • Human Priest
  • Human Ret Pally
  • Human Mage

I’ve legit been in several Alliance epics where there was literally not a single Warlock in the entire raid, or only 2-3 healers… always seems to be plenty of Night Elf Hunters and Human Pallys tho :joy:

I’ve noticed that priests are pretty rare now. Maybe it has to do with nerfs to disc, but there’s hardly ever a priest to give us a stamina buff.

Reminds me of classic WoW, where Alliance had one of the best priests possible in Dwarf, but almost nobody rolled it because they all made freaking Night Elves. The worst possible priest. My Vanilla guild literally only had 1 dwarf priest. All the rest were Night Elves. SMH. :upside_down_face:

I agree, but if you didn’t know you can use a tome to change your talents in non-rated BG’s.

this gets amplified with longer queue times
I don’t agree with a free win but something has to be done about this issue

Healers don’t win random bgs - competent dps wins.

That’s debatable… I’ve seen my share of 40 mans lost due to only having 2-3 healers. Good DPS does matter though.
