You forgot?! I think about it all the time… But ofc for some (not talkin’ about you) there is no faction imbalance impacting on BGs. Nope, none at’all. 
agreed… Honestly though I’ve noticed fewer and fewer alliance backfills these days. Makes me wonder if Blizz has started to secretly slip in bots instead. lol
Because alliance win rates are Atleast up 10-15 percent since 8.2 released … you are not going to quit a winning BG.
It’s about a 50-50 win rate in randoms now with maybe a 55-45 advantage to horde in Epics.
30 minute account wide deserter debuff would solve many of these issues.
players spend a lot of time looking at their character i dont blame them for picking what they think looks better. i would not roll a dwarf either
that would solve literally nothing. people will still leave and log out, then come back and do it again if they dont like the match
people will leave no matter what punishment you put in place and no other game has a good solution for this problem either

DOTA and Overwatch will punish you for leaving games. You drop lower in priority and will wait longer in match queues. You’ll suffer a loss in your Win-Lose ratio.
Overwatch also penalizes you with a 75% reduction in XP gains.
that doesnt stop people form leaving, it only punishes them. i play overwatch and people leave all the time, the experience penalty is less than the 15 min debuff we have in wow

It definitely is, however there’s a workaround until they change that. Respec Tomes work in unrated BG’s. I use them all the time. Can be kind of pricey to burn through a bunch but it’s better than laying down and flopping around with the wrong talents in PVP.
