I think the Death Knight character your replying to this thread on is a different race of (Kul Tiran) Human from Stormwind Humans - and that’s enough for the games devs to give them different racials.
Alliance High Elves get more and more focus. Good for their fans I guess.
Okay but you’re dodging my point to make correlations that don’t exist
There is no drustvar blood difference between alliance high elves and horde high elves.
They’re the same species.
Blood Elves were exposed to/gave into Fel magic corruption.
High Elves did not.
That didn’t change their species.
Infact fel corruption is entirely reversed in some blood elves as of the sunwells reignition infusing them (and all alliance high elves except for void) with holy arcane power.
… you know blood elves can look like my posting character now, right? One-for-one embodiments of the “Alliance high elf” fantasy you’re so obsessed with, with zero fel corruption?
And for bonus points, Alliance players can too, through the void elves’ high elf customizations (albeit with slightly worse hairstyles).
Hell, I can pass off a male dracthyr as a alliance high elf, with even prettier hairstyles if I wanted to
Edit: In their visage form naturally
Listen, it is super important to me that I be able to play as one of the 16 surviving Elves that live in one of two lodges in EK.
Depends on the story - in some stories - it absolutely changed them to mana addicts looking for their next hit - where as High Elves in the alliance were basically unaffected any such hunger. For example - there is no story of which I am aware in which Vanessa Windrunner had to deal with mana addiction problems for the entire time the Sunwell was corrupted. Additionally you have Outland High Elves who were never affected in such a way.
But if you want real talk - Blizzard does not care about the lore they’ve previously written - they only care about the story they want to tell now… and will throw out or retcon lore to fit the story they want to tell now. They’ve done this before - and they will do it again. Prime example Eredar/Draenei changes from the original lore to today.
High Elf fans will continue to push for High Elves - and if Blizzard thinks there’s enough profit to be made - they will craft a story give us playable High Elves. Because they stopped caring about their lore a long time ago.
I don’t care if you scream for five hundred years to get the race. I don’t care if you get them.
My point is that you lied. High elves exist in the horde.
Yeah, but how did they translate that into the game? By giving customization options to draenei. Like they already did with high elves.
They suffered from the same magic addiction as their friends and family in Silvermoon. They just weren’t willing to go to the extremes the blood elves were willing to go at the time to sate it.
And that’s the cause of the rift between both groups and why the high elves were ultimately exiled.
Please give me a list of High Elf story/quest characters fly Horde banners. Who specifically identify themselves as High Elves and specifically say they are members of the Horde.
Not talking about that - originally in the Warcraft 3 manual Eredar were one of the races that corrupted Sargeras - not the other way around. Draenei were basically just the Broken in the same game - and previous manuals had them genocided. Blizzard threw out that old lore to craft their new story.
No.
You’ve already conceded.
You can’t name any because they don’t exist.
Every blood elf is a high elf.
If you want one that has absolutely no corruption left, the Smith from azsuna.
Enjoy being wrong.
Also enjoy the years it will take for blizzard to decide to give you just high elves in the alliance.
Every High Elf is not a Blood Elf.
Your reading comprehension is terrible.
Go apologize to your mother.
You…do realize that blood elves and high elves are, biologically speaking, the same race right? And the only thing separating the two groups are their POLITICAL beliefs?
I like how he just doesn’t recognize liadrin, lol.
