Blizz should have just made the Silver Convenant high elves playable, since they caved in with the high elf customizations anyway for both void and blood elves

it looks like high elves. in all the aspects. but that is not enough. That will only be silent once Silvermoon officially joins the alliance which was their actual goal from the beginning cuz they balieve in the Tolkien nonsense where elves and humans have to be friends.

I mean, for some mysterious reason, the high elf crowd (Alliance and Horde) seems a lot quieter now.
Almost like they both got customizations to allow them to play a pretty good facsimile of their favored short elves on their respective favored factions.
Anyway. I will bet at least two shiny nickels that Silvermoon will not become an Alliance city. MAYBE, on an outside chance, have a neutral phase or something (not my druthers when Isle of Queldanas is RIGHT THERE).

The Silver Covenant doesn’t even have a point anymore. It existed solely to be a blood elf hate group trying to keep the blood elves out of Dalaran. Dalaran doesn’t exist anymore. So best the Silver Covenant can do is go sit in Stormwind hating blood elves from a distance and that’s just not the same as being able to hate blood elves living next door.

People asked for High Elves - and to this day - those people still haven’t gotten High Elves. If you went to a ice cream palor and asked for a Butterscotch Sundae, which you could see a picture on their menu - but they came back and gave you a Strawberry or Hot Fudge Sundae… would accept it as close enough or would you complain that this isn’t what you asked for.
Blizzard has given two things which are close - but ultimately weren’t what the people asked for. As such the people will continue to ask for what they wanted until they get it.

Or you know Midnight will finally deal with the issue between both and maybe the Elves will end up becoming a neutral faction for both.
Honestly having a high elf allied race isnt so far off considering we ended up with the Earthen.
