When is faction imbalance going to be addressed?

This is the thing, personally is the reason why im started to switch to horde im even saving money waiting for the next sale of services to try to transfer at least 4 of my toons.

Already got 1, more soon to come because the high end participation just got stacked in one side and as you say i dont think theres a turning back point.

I mean, it makes sense.

If I was living the good life, and the only thing that was keeping someone else from enjoying what I had was an invisible line, Iā€™d just think ā€œwell, just play horde then!ā€ too.

Problem is thatā€™s not how human beings work.

@Motors hit the nail on the head up above.

Itā€™s emotional. I mean, if we were all emotionless robots, there wouldnā€™t be a problem. If you wanted short queues for PvP you would maintain two PvP toons, one horde and one alliance, and just play whichever one had a shorter queue at the moment. If you wanted to run mythic+ dungeons, you would have an alliance toon just for M+ dungeons. If you wanted to raid you would have a horde toon just for raiding.

ā€¦and in either case you would have no more than 2-4 toons in total.

However, weā€™re not robots. We make unreasonable decisions because of inane, random reasoning that involves personal, meaningless criteria based on our life experiences and little else. I hate tolken elves and refuse to play blood elves or high elves (should they ever become a thing) under any circumstances because theyā€™re stupid and irritating and if you like them you probably also liked Atlas Shrugged and are therefore mentally inferior. Just in general.

None of that makes any sense. But thatā€™s what it means to be human.

If I have to choose to faction jump my main to keep raiding or run M+ Iā€™ll just stop playing because I donā€™t like the Horde. Itā€™s not rational since I enjoy raiding and M+. But I also donā€™t like Blood Elves or Orcs. And I mean I really donā€™t like them.

Likewise, if I ever lose my mainā€™s name to something like a server merge or a faction transfer, Iā€™m done. This toon is older than my friendsā€™ kids. Iā€™m not giving her up.

People donā€™t make sense, and Iā€™m not playing horde just to have an easier time doing what I enjoy. My valuation here is simple: Either the devs fix the problem, or it gets bad enough that I stop playing entirely because the game simply wonā€™t have anything for me to do anymore.

Also, they could drop the faction barrier for raiding and dungeons, in which case I will also stop playing because I refuse to play with Blood Elves and Orcs.

That is literally a change of argument but whatevs. You made a claim, you refuse to support it. So it can be ignored like everything else.

People are sheep, they go where they think the hardcore players are unfortunately.

this is still your opinion

and when you have max IL and eveything is even?

do you expect the change overnight? no it will take time to see pop shifts in normal players who dont have the option to faction change immediately like pros do.

Blizzard have proven that they are incapable of giving a solution here. They will likely buff the alliance gains so high that one day as an alliance players farming counts as much as 3 days of horde players farming.

They could just give us cross faction play like the lore has it and that would solve alot of the player problems but its Blizzard were talking about. They prefer catering to the 1% of old players from classic that demand things stay the same.

This is true. I have a max level alliance monk I mess around with (m+ mainly). The alliance side for LFG tool is a ghost town for anything m2-15 compared to my horde toon when looking to run some m+.

Well, i would say is a fact if you see that Season 1 of Mythic+ was Horde dominated and we already saw a MDI in Blizzcon being all alliance, then we got Season 2 and Season 3 being the same.

So as i say, people ainā€™t gonna switch ainā€™t that much of an advantage to deal with the lower high end population.

Just put another 5 ilvl over it i guess, he didnā€™t explain that part.

The thing is Pros didnā€™t switch, they just do it in a tournament realm on live server they still horde and switching in tournament realm is completely free.

You can go ahead and watch streams of MDI pros and see them play horde all day long.

Plus as i said, alliance has been this dominating force in the MDI for a year now and it the live realm has suffer no change, horde still dominates.

Devs are in denialā€¦ and unwilling to do what it takes to balance the factions. They are so out of balance now you cannot do anything without upsetting the vast majority.

For example: Alliance won some huge victories (Warfronts, etc) but there was little story and no cinematic that showed Alliance triumphing over the Horde - the most Alliance players got was a shout -out at a Blizzcon Q&A telling them that they won.

Thank goodness someone asked or they would not even have got that much recognition. I suspect to failure to publicize the Horde defeat was to spare the feelings of Horde players. Devs however have no problem or hesitation showing Alliance defeats and setbacks.

You have some R1 comebacks.

Chapeau to you

only way to fix it is to introduce cross faction pve or to make the alliance racials extremely overpowered. Right now the racials are mostly balanced.

NEā€™s have the best M+ racial in the game and players still arenā€™t flocking to the alliance. The raiding population is already on the horde side; I donā€™t think anything would bring back to alliance. The pool of players is just to good to pull from now.

Maybe not, but do you think it would hurt?

The larger problem is they need to make the Alliance have things that appeal to players. Not things that appeal to players AT THE EXPENSE of the Horde but things the Alliance has for themselves in story, lore, questing and content and ARā€™sā€¦and they just havenā€™t. BfA is a glaring example of just how little effort is put into the Alliance in all aspects of the game and it has been that way for a long LONG time.

Just being the good guys isnā€™t enough to hold interest. Especially when your ā€œideasā€ are things like Fat people, Diaper Gnomes that look like floating heads since they INSIST on having all prosthetic limbs instead of adding choice with a minimum of 1, ā€œracesā€ pulled from thin air with no story and no involvement in LFD and Void Elves that literally are a few dozen people COMBINED in lore. Story that actually involves the leadership of the Alliance instead of them just moving the Horde story along or sitting in Darkshore picking their noses for a couple of years. Cinematics that arenā€™t one factions movie.

Yes all of these things matter. Blizzard has to ACTUALLY PUT EFFORT INTO THE ALLIANCE if they want it to succeed as a faction and not continue to die on the vine with only hardcore Alliance players left.

It is the best racial, but its not that big of a deal breaker (at least im assuming, dont play a NE). Hell, my main is a forsaken, i basically dont HAVE any racials and i can do mythic plus.

Err Shadowmeld is the best racial for M+ by faaaaaaaaaaaar / also useful in PVP

Dwarf / DID racial really good too

I agree with this.

We got Worgen and Dark Iron now. Also Void Elves helped as well.

Since the Horde got the Blood Elves they were no longer a savage/primitive race. Now they have class.

The Alliance is still into one niche and it is a little unfair.

These arenā€™t real factions. None of this is real. The Alliance can be made up to appeal to more people like this. Who cares about anything else.

Ok, i never said anything about racials but ok i guess.

Hi

Just like how you canā€™t mathematically prove your claim?

I literally gave you an example of the best Horde DPS racial vs the Allianceā€™s.
