Iâm reallt curious what the situation is that you feel compelled to link an achievement to get respect from other players is.
Is it to get invites to groups?
Remember, we can just buy KSM now pretty much, so yeah⊠its value is pretty much zero.
Some of us pugged our way there with great difficulty, and it may be important to us, but thatâs about it. My friends gave me a âgrats!â when I earned mine, and I feel happy about it, but I donât expect it to âproveâ anything to anyone else who is entirely irrelevant to me.
Remember, even college and universities degrees can be purchased now. You can pay a couple hundred bucks and get a PhD from a âuniversityâ and the diploma farm based somewhere usually outside of NA will create everything: references, attendance lists, even fake assignments. Itâs insane!
tbh when it comes to m+ im a complete novice lol. I seriously thought that by linking my KSM id have more of a chance of getting an invite amongst a sea of dps. just wnated to stand out basically.
Understandable, but it will only make you stand out in the wrong way. If you really want to give yourself an edge, tell them you are x covenant (assuming it is relevant to the dungeon). Tell them you have feasts or flasks, or something⊠I mean none of these may help, but at worst they wonât hurt.
Really? I find it hard to believe that someone who has done all (yes, I know you donât need all timed 15s) 15s legitimately would consider themselves a ânoviceâ.
At least to me, a novice is someone who has barely broken the 3 affix barrier. Once you start dealing with 4 affixes and multiple pulls at the same time, you begin to leave the novice bracket.
I suppose if youâre carried through them all and get KSM even if itâs not paid for⊠then yes, one could be a novice â like if a group of friends carries a buddy through.
The goal posts move further as we learn2play over time.
Also people above ksm like to say itâs easy, and people below ksm like to complain of toxicity.
Most (60%?) m+ players make ksm their end of season goal, so it still has relevance.
I respect your ksm, itâs a fun milestone.
edit: ksm is likely the most pay2win achieve from what I can tell in pay2win carry discords and word of mouth.
Suggests to me that many people arenât good enough to earn ksm who still want it.
Just know that people in 20s are pretty bad, too. Just as bad as failures in +15, but they get carried by 4pc, double leggo, lucky wpn drop, and just networking with people better than they are.
And that very similar all 20s, 3000io is suppose to be idk, the top 12-20% of players? So really you canât say that only the top 11% range have worth in this game. The game isnât even made for the top 11%. Itâs made for ksm range.
Relative ease this season. Heroic jailer is apparently pretty hard and it also apparently doesnât drop stuff that people want to farm it for. Itâs also just generally harder to get high rated in arena than ksm. We (collectively) outgeared 15 super fast this season too.
and this is what i dont understand. i follow a few m+ players on twitch who are 3200 to 3500 raider score now. according to them if you are NOT timing at least a 20+ key this late in the season then you are a novice. and then on the other hand ive asked my guild if completing 15s on time is a big deal and they said yes! lol who knows anymore
Not sure what the confusion is⊠even in your breakdown, novice ends at 9. I said around 4 affixes you begin to leave novice. And 4 affixes happen at 10.
I agree with your breakdown too.
The rate of pulls though also p lays a role; like dealing with the first triple pull in HoA even in a +9 is not a ânoviceâ thing to do imo. I still see people who die in that pull or the first mass pull of DoS =/
Well thereâs your problem right there. Streamers care only about views and cash, thatâs it. So theyâll say whatever contrarian thing they need to in order to âone upâ everyone else and build their weird cultish following.
What counts as ânoviceâ or not is entirely subjective. There are people who also think AotC, even when earned, is meaningless because itâs not mythic.
If those streamers were pushing 30s (just being hyperbolic) they would say anything not timing 25s is a noob. If they pushed 40s, theyâd say anyone not timing 30s is a noob, etc etc.
