M+ is better pugging than running with guildies imo, you can keep going up and finding better players. Running with the same people, you don’t naturally learn new routes and strategies. Also, people pug 25 and higher on push weeks regularly, pugging is fine for m+ achievements. I don’t think people should try to pug mythic raiding because the lockout system is ancient.
I never said they had to be guild members. You should really be filling out your friends list with people you know are pleasant to run with. But on the other hand it’s simply not true that you can’t learn alternate methods of running content when you only run with guildies.
The problem with pug’ing is that you’re taking it in good faith that the end user isn’t being deceptive about their own skill level, but also are not also the walking personification of the dunning kruger effect, who are so bad at their class that they’re unaware they’re bad and treat the failure to complete content not as a deficiency on their own part but instead something that is inflicted upon them.
This.
I can not recommend this enough. Every time you pug and the players play well you should be dropping a message asking if you can add them to btag. I have a group, but I still pug sometimes just for shiggles and I will still add people to my btag because you just never know. Has saved my bacon a few times when one of my boys couldn’t make it for M+ night.
sorry this is my main. for some reason the forums wont let me switch to my hunter character.
thats weird, my apologies. you do have some rather low keys you can bump up for score and hunters bring BL looking at both ur DoS’s so start there and keep climbing the ladder.
Ahhh mate, sorry to say, thats why your not getting into groups if this is what this is all about.
No one wants us BM hunters, we are bottom of the barrel and so far from meta. We can hold our own, but when people are pushing, they want the metas. Now if you were MM or survival, youd have less of an issue.
An achievement a tiny portion of the playerbase will ever see. And only another tiny portion who can pay millions each tier to buy it see it.
You’re going to tell me it doesn’t mean anything?
Uhh?
This is misinformation. You need a score of 250 per dungeon, which 15 timed on both fort/tyr. +13 will get you +230.
2500
You can get above 2500 with untimed by doing dungeons over +15, which i see no problem with since not timing a 18 can be more impressive than a 15 timed imo.
Warcraftlogs!
I wrote a thread in the beginning of the season how I thought the title meant nothing because of how easily power creep has made the “achievement”.
The problem is we are so strong that being carried is easier than ever. A single strong dps can pretty much carry all 4 other players in a 15. Even keystone hero tells me very little about someone’s skill. I’ve seen so many 3300-3400 players that are so mediocre it’s astonishing. I feel like 3600 is around the rating where people I’ve run into are always good. That doesn’t mean you can’t be a lower rating and good however.
To add further, brand new alts need 200io in order for the main’s score to show. Annoying, but easy enough.
Dang, this is news to me!
Pugging KSH is honestly fine. I’m on track to hit 3200 this week just from pugging.
I’ve had some of my smoothest runs in pug groups.
KSM is good for upgrading your gear.
i agree. there is no incentive for these people anymore. they log in farm a bit of gold, buy tokens for gold, pay for run and done.
i know times have changed between now and classic up to wrath but if this “run buying” stopped i can guarantee that the vast majority of these players will find a way and a guild and eventually get it the old fashion way of working for it.
The bar is even lower this season. You only need to time +10s to unlock 12/12 upgrades.
People aren’t logging in, making a bit of gold, and buying a CE carry. Let’s not exaggerate too much.
where in my post do you see “CE CARRY”. nice to see you put words in other peoples mouths.
I don’t think that’s true, but maybe I haven’t been paying attention.
