it’s multibox. That is the word in it’s shortest form. Adding the ER at the end changes that. That’s why you have a the double consonant.

If anything, you could split it like multi-boxing or multi-boxer.
You don’t have to think…He was exploiting the other day in pvp using the technique he learned from Rextroy. Since this was already a know exploit he should be banned for duplicating it.

The links don’t matter as they have nothing to do with the word. I just asked my copy writer who is sitting right by me. The guy has a degree in this. Gonna take his opinion over yours.
If you want to be correct, then you can spell it mulit-boxing or multi-boxer. It’s basically a made up word, but if we respect general rules, which I already gave you, it would have two x’s.
Your copywriter friend should return his degree. And maybe buy a dictionary. You’re both wrong, but I respect your right to be.

Sometimes reading people who have very poor grammar makes one’s head hurt. Especially if you have to read it 2-3 times to understand what they said because it’s so broken. Not too common but it happens.
Not likely. There’s really no way to differentiate a multi boxer from a group of players on the same network, as long as they use legit means to do so. If bots are involved then Warden will likely catch it, but legit multiboxers won’t risk their accounts.

This is really important to me, I’ve had my rogue since Vanilla and I’d hate to get banned for cheating.
If Blizzard ever want to ban multiboxing they have to do it BEFORE we pre-order an expansion. AND it has to be done at a start of a new expansion. We would need a heads-up. Not just start banning people all of a sudden.

I’m not educated in that subject just yet, so I’ll take your word for it being hard to detect without false-positives. Still, it would be much easier to spot at a glance than a bot. There’s other ways to handle it.
People have valid reasons to think it’s bad for the the game, don’t think it’s an unreasonable request, despite being unlikely.

I’ve often wondered if Blizzard’s stance was more because of difficulty of enforcement rather than being fine with it.
Also, when they say they “don’t support multiboxing tools” in their support article, does that mean from a technical perspective or a policy perspective? Was confused by that.
There was the “Wall of No” that was posted every time people brought up Vanilla servers. Now we have Classic.
If it matters, Blizzard refers to it with one X in all of their support articles.
