To answer your question I’ve played on several accounts since classic but on and off. I didn’t play a lot during many expansions between classic and MoP but have played semi consistently since then. Rets have been in a much better place in the past and if you actually read what I’m saying I’m not just defending their burst for the sake of it but unfortunately rets were ignored during beta and they need a complete rework, just needing their damage will make them the worst class in the game. I’m not saying that I’m rank 1 by any means but rets burst is very telegraphed and needs all the stars to align for him to actually put out that kind of damage through many many GCDs and multipliers that it is easily dealt with and avoided.
This coming from the guy who logged to an alliance just to salty whisper my boyfriend (the ret in question).

I am full of PvP gear, 37% versa and was getting 150-200k crit from some classes abilities. WTF is that?!? all those crit procs are just insane, it’s too much dmg. I agree. This isn’t healthy.
But your a rogue nobody cares. Honestly its about time rets have there little moment, they were instant kill targets for the last 2 months in arena and were trained into the ground everygame. The ones that stuck to it deserve to dish out some punishment.

Go look at my forum posts, already say the same thing monk has stupid dmg, but this isn’t slands, monks aren’t taking out entire teams with instant dmg anymore

Very much so. I was playing my druid (feral) with my boyfriend (the ret) in skirms. Monk lost then my boyfriend got the salty whispers. Made me laugh honestly and this tops it!

If you use details to find out how hard that radiant decree hit, it averaged 120k per person it hit.
I have been hit with a 200k wrecking throw from a warrior which guaranteed takes significantly less effort.
I dont think such high hits are good for the game, but don’t cherry pick. Rets biggest buff last week was the nerf to spriests and DH. Radiant decree isn’t even hitting any harder than it was before, but now the focus has shifted.
Just letting all know what went down. Didn’t need to whisper anything tbh. Not like I disagree with dam being stupidly high but ret def isn’t at the top of the list…

Imagine a world where WW monk complains about ret paladin. Even after the nerf WW slaps at all times. Without lining up their 15 multipliers and CDs you’d be lucky for radiant decree to hit as hard as a non crit RSK.
