What you LIKE about BFA's story

Updated Arathi / Darkshore .

Even though I haven’t played much because of mechanics killing it for me ( Titanforging is so lame ) I do love those upgrades on older questing zones.

I like how bad it is. Makes for good jokes with people you know. Yknow?

Irrelevant, but Aren’t you one of those guy who used to follow Bajheera around everywhere he went

Its pretty relevant. WoWs story is great to satirize. Also no I dont follow other players.

I was talking about my comment not yours. But this thread is about what we like about BFA’s story, if you’re just going to troll it, i’d rather you not comment at all. But you have freedom.

Oh right, I remember, you were one of those Wpvpfinest fails who would camp level 60s in Hellfire all day. rofl.

You tagged me so you must be confused about a few things. I gave my opinion on why I like BFA not sure why it can be seen as trolling. Its so bad its great to poke fun at. Ill comment on that.

Ive joined many guilds over my 8 tenure, 9/10 times just to screw around so who knows. I cant seem to recall.

Might I add youll soon be derailing your own topic due to triggering. We dont want that now :monkey:

You like that its bad. Did you even read my post? I specifically stated there was a lot of negativity in the forums and wanted people’s appreciation for some of the things they liked about the story. You responded with a negative and not even a good one at that “I LIKE CUZ IS BAD HAHA” Why even play? Why did you even post?

I typed irrelevant, meaning my next post was irrelevant to the original conversation. I was just generally curious as I recall your name being there everytime WpvpF would be camping lowbies in Hellfire. I was on Darkspear as well.

I did read your post yes. And because its so bad its funny. Yknow like watching a horrible movie with friends or TV show and poking fun at it? Thats what I enjoy about it.

Getting a kick out of mediocre writing and getting some laughs out of isnt negative.

The scenario I’m coming from shouldnt be this complex for you to understand. The fact that I even have to explain it is also funny if not a bit redundant.

That doesn’t make any sense.

I dont remember more than half the things I do in game. Alot if it goes by with fleeting indifference on my end either to kill time or get more laughs in.

Is it more alarming that you can remember one dude who can’t even recall said events? Are these bottled up feelings from 7 years or something? Cause if so.

I feel like I’m one of the few people that like things even though it’s “bad writing”. I love that the horde raises night elves, that they (were!) gonna send Derek as a bomb to the alliance, that there were mobs named “purge squads” indiscriminately killing horde and furry gypsies, that Ashvane muahahahahas and gets away on a horse… the list goes on.

I also love that there’s a dude in here who is QQing about a dude camping someone ingame. Git gud.

Some of ya’ll need to chill out in the threads trying to be positive.

On topic, I actually enjoyed the war campaign. It was typical Horde/Forsaken stuff that, if Teldrassil hadn’t soured things for a lot of people, I feel would have been more well received. It had it’s problems, like Lilian Voss’ sudden love for the Forsaken, but it was still enjoyable overall. The underwater section was my favorite part.

The Zandalar questing zones were all pretty good too. Even the stuff that was disconnected from the main story managed to feel important or it was amusing enough to be worth the side trip.

I also liked the Darkest Dungeon questline in Stormsong. It felt disconnected enough from the normal story format because of the way the quests were written that it managed to come across as strange and wrong. Fit the Old God and madness theme really well.

Again, I asked for appreciation for the story. You can go talk about how bad it is in other threads. But I made it obvious I don’t want that here. You are clearly trolling. If you don’t like anything about the story, perhaps you should find one of the many threads on this forum.

“This is irrelevant but”

I remember everyone on Darkspear, all forum posters, all pvpers, wpvpers, pvers, EVERYONE.
I show little feeling toward you. This is just more so me relabeling you in my head as you are posting on my post.

No one is QQing haha. I actually would start raid groups against that guild to get them to stop farming lowbies and the quest givers. If anything they were some of the most fun wpvp times for me. Back when /worlddefense was a thing. RIP

I agree let’s see this here on out.

Interesting don’t think ive done that yet.

I rather liked Warbringers Azshara. Seeing that Azshara’s ego is actually pretty justified and she really is the badass mage she claims to be as well as a fearless ruler who doesn’t even compromise to a god was neat. I also liked that despite all that Nzoth managed to play her by feigning indignant rage to get exactly what he wanted with the only thing that changed being the term she refers to herself with.

That warbringer was my fave and definitely had the most depth. Loved every second of it from the art to the score.

There’s a shocked building at 29 seconds you cannot unsee once someone points it out.

lmao I think I remember seeing that in the comments

You can get the starter quest from the main Horde base in Stormsong, it sends you over to the large island on the far right side of the map, just below the world boss’ spawn.

It has a “your sanity is fraying, you must wait or risk madness” mechanic that is either a daily cooldown or something like ten minutes to pick up the next quest in the chain. I’m not sure which since I just did it daily as a break from the Honorbound rep grind I was doing at the time.

I have a hard time believing that wasn’t intentional on the part of the animator. It actually has the camera focus change to highlight it and it’s the only one of three in the scene designed like that.

Thanks!

Lol. looking back you’re probably right.

I liked leveling in the horde zones. Exotic environments, good stories. Liked the Drustvar story, the giant mountain in the middle offsets this though. Stormsong was pretty.

Story wise, I am enjoying much.

I like that Nathanos declares this war Is long overdue - it is.

I like that Sylvanas is doing anything and everything to make the Alliance suffer! (and maybe win while doing it, but that’s just a side benefit for her it seems.)

The Questing was perfect. I thought Voldun would be awful because I hate desert zones generally. But I had a great time.

I would have to strain to find a story complaint. My major complaints are just a lack of clarity and coherence - but no complaints about the overall arcs and direction. However, if I put on my bias hat - It does suck that everything the Horde does is pointless:

We save a ruined Zandalar from Ghuun, only to have it’s King killed by the Alliance for accepting our help.

We go through the War Campaign to get a scepter that the Alliance gets back.

Then we raise some dudes body as a new plan - and that is also given to the Alliance before the plan can come through.

The only reason I am not complaining as much as others - the Horde has been the whipping boy since the get-go. We are the Jabronies. The Alliance has titles indicating they Conquered our capitol.

Having the Horde lose and the Alliance win is how expacs go. So I am enjoying the moment. It won’t be long before the Alliance and their servants in the Horde destroy the Horde.
