There is a lot of negativity and pessimism rampant throughout the story forums, so, I wanted to create this thread in appreciation of some of the things we do like about the game’s story. I have ran through both sides of the field multiple times and I have to say the Zandalari’s tale is my personal fave. (despite what happened to Zul) I’ve had a greater interest in Zandalari since ToT and the isle and am glad they decided to put them in this expansion.
I really liked rastakhan and especially bwonsamdi, even though he’s probably not someone to trust. And it does put the Zandalari on the edge with their deal. He’s a very likeable character.
I like that we’re going to be looting Sylvanas. I like getting Kul’tiran shamans so I can make an Old Man Thor rip off ( https://i.imgur.com/8DODXOO.jpg ). I like most of the Zandalari content, save for constantly losing, and the Vulpera. I loved Drustvar, and it might be my favorite zone of the expansion.
I like that we’re finally getting Forsaken that are more like Leonid and less like Sylvanas.
The leveling story in Zandalar was good not great but good.
Also everything about Drustvar and witches I feel a single 5 man was not enough shame they killed them all Id have liked to see a raid. Maybe they can show up for a Darkmoon Faire haunted house attraction.
The were a couple of enjoyable questlines like Goldtusk Gang in Vol’dun, Gob Squad and Forsaken Squad in Nazmir. They were all amazing and humorous, especially Forsaken one.
Tbf, anything not related to Faction War was enjoyable content.
The Zandalari narrative overall was excellent… the rest is garbage (War Campaing and faction War stuff is basically a story we already played and the thing with Magni is sleep inducing- boring).
I liked the Zandalari content a lot. It really felt good to be working with them, even if we don’t succeed at a lot. Their capital is downright gorgeous if hilariously inefficient. And the music there is just so perfect.
Drustvar, outside of some unfortunate implications that aren’t really explored, was actually really nice. I think Lucille might genuinely be one of my favorite characters from this expansion. Having a character that can’t fight, but doesn’t feel like a detriment to quest alongside is nice. Cleardawn was also one of my favorite quest givers.
There’s also a lot of cute little touches in general. Like that inn-keeper you’re supposed to kill for a quest trying to hearth out. Raising dinosaurs! Jani! The regular loa worship in the capital. Lorash. Chadwick Paxton. The goblin chatter about Forsaken when fighting the Blood Trolls.
pretty much almost everything about alliance side.
so far has been great, i love the new characters and the develop of the main ones.
the zones stories were also enjoyable.
most of the war campaign and faction war has been thrash, but i can’t lie, i enjoy the jaina’s fanservice.
i am starting to see with better eyes the horde side. maybe i will put to use my horde alts!
and every passing day is one step closer to finally end this faction war nonsense and never see it ever again!.
Who said this and why does it have any relevance to what is going on?
Basically, a bunch of people were spamming Blizzard with “GARROSH 2.0 L0L” and it was a lot of controvery and they responded pretty well and said her character was going down a different path. That she wouldn’t just simply be a lootable boss for you. And they said those exact words. “Won’t simply be a lootable boss” .So sorry about your luck Treng.
Don´t waste your time unless you like A LOT troll lore, cause the rest isn´t really worth it. While your War Campaign seems to follow a coherent path, ours seems like an episode of The Three Stooges. Everything we do is SO wothless and stupid evil that is laugh/pitiful worthy. Heck, the best part of 8.1 Horde War Campaign is the Gally one and precisely cause it´s a giant joke).
We knew Garrosh was going to be a raid boss at the beginning of the expansion. Garrosh confirmed raid boss in March of 2012. Mists released September of 2012. No such fate has officially been handed to Sylvanas yet.
