Right. Now add an additional zone based reputation grind specifically designed to make you waste your time. It was frustrating. I can live with reputation grinds for factions that present me with cool stuff. When the only thing I am getting is the ability to fly in a zone, thatâs where I draw the line.

Youâre right OP, but theyâre coming. Blizzard has already forsaken the Classic audience for the Retail crowd. And the Retail crowd is begging to throw money at them for every cash shop item, every micro transaction, every account service imaginable.

In TBC this felt fine.
In retail, this wastes your time.
The world has changed a lot. The ironic thing is that thereâs probably a time gated flying due to people complaining about âhow much flying ruins the game and its immersionâ so in retail they time gated it so people are grounded for awhile.

No, you ignored my point entirely. It depends on what I am being asked to grind rep for. Grinding to be able to fly in a zone like it is some kind of air controlled area is dumb.
And you ignored the response entirely.
I didnât ignore it. It isnât accurate. Time gating flying isnât preserving content. It is literally âwe are boredâ and blizzard was too lazy or inept to come up with enough content to cover this boredom.
Itâs time gating flying so that people can stay grounded, look at the world, PvP each other and explore the game and whatever other else you players complained about regarding the anti-flying stance.

If you say so. I am sure there were just people all over the game crying out for a need to keep people grounded. Probably the same 10 people who cry about Blizzard adding a token to a game where people are already buying gold in droves from 3rd party suppliers. Whining about âimmersionâ and âsanctity of the gameâ or some other sniveling drivel like that.
As much as people like to complain about Blizzard, there is zero chance they âlistenedâ to these people. This was a band-aid to give people something else to do in an effort to keep people engaged in the game. Thatâs what I mean when I say it was an effort to stave off boredom. It was poorly done and people complain about it literally every expansion.
But hey, Iâm the one who is wrong right? Right. I agree with you on a lot of stuff. This one you are barking up the wrong tree.
