What would cause you to consider teldrassil repayed?

Out of curiosity, what could the Horde give to the Night Elves of similar value to what the Horde marched on? The Horde doesn’t really have much to give (their only groups that are that prosperous are Suramar and Highmountain). And what punitive damages could ensure something like this doesn’t happen again?

just throw us into those internment camps again then timeskip a few years so we can break out with a grudge and an underdog complex. Just like old times. A reboot of the actually good horde story starting from WC3

If I’m not being snarky? Hm.

Well, I imagine the following conditions would be non-negotiable:

  • Sylvanas has to go
  • The people directly involved in Teldrassil need to suffer major reprisals
  • The Horde needs to pay reparations in terms of labor, magic, or money sufficient for the NElves to rebuild and resettle.
  • The Horde needs to limit its military arsenal / size to a point that it would not threaten the Alliance.

Of course, those are big asks that would never, ever, ever happen. But they’re more reasonable than ORGRIMMAR MUST BURN, etc.

They have civilian (Supposedly. I’m of the minset of ToW Jaina, that even Horde “civilians” are cogs in the Horde war machine) blood in spades. And cities.

Call me old fashioned, but that whole “an eye for an eye” thing that Moses guy talked about looks pretty nice from where I’m sitting.

I agree with all your points. Unfortunately the part I agree with most, though is never, ever, ever happen, with the exception of figuring Sylvanas is on her own way out. Same applies to burning down another Horde capital, though, as I don’t expect that will ever happen, either, nor do I want it to.

Which puts this thread in an awkward position, though, as acknowledging that there is unlikely to be any meaningful reparations made to the Night Elves, it just leaves the only purpose of this thread to be full of fantasies, most of them based on vengeance.

So, Saurfang and the Horde Player need to suffer major reprisals? Cause other than them it was pretty much trash mobs.

Please do not be that greedy, why did you expect the buff to do? Wipe out all of the horde? I mean she did kill bunch of horde forces without effort, can you tell me when horde heroes does something remotely as powerful in expansion.

I am not trying to be rude, but I don’t get the expectations hers. Tyrande is OP, it has been shown. Same with Jaina, Malfurion, Alleria we hordies know we can’t win the war. Heck horde couldn’t beat Tyrade + Malfurion combo as it was started.

If your expectations is city for city then i would point to undercity
If you expectations were alliance winning a war and rolling over the horde. Then that is what BFA is, horde hasn’t done much against the alliance since war of thrones. Please do not include that alliance only questing where the horde attack as i do not think it was well throughout and was just there to replace the quillboars.

All that being said, NE havn’t had things that bad. Alot of netural content goes though night elfs and will. They also have been and do get decent amount of screen time. Now compare that to orcs, who been just stomped to the ground by villian bat. Lead no netural content, if they show up in netural content they are mostly villians(example; WOD, fel horde, true horde
)

That being said, how they introduced the loas for the zandlari trolls was cool. I as a night elf fan hope that hyjal is the new starting zones and the wild gods get better representation like the loas.

I wouldn’t mind hearing your thoughts on the treatment on Night elfs and their future going forward.

It’s gotten to the point that my preferred ending to BFA is waking up at my Order Hall with a pounding hangover after an awesome post-Legion party, and this whole expansion being just some weird

No I expected her first objective and the climax to the quest line that is supposed to be the Night Elf fist pump moment to not end in failure.

You’re B tier Horde character held off both Tyrande and Malfurion long enough to complete his objective and then just made his escape on some slow flying bats.

Much like how Forsaken Fans don’t care about Teldrassil there isnt a single Night Elf fan that feels good about Undercity. Or Dazar’alor for that matter.

No we’ve only had our people genocided, our heros willingly rise into Undeath, and the Chosen Champion of our Goddess falter in her faith so hard that she started demanding that her Goddess aid her instead of beseeching her for it.

Nelfs have totally been just fine this expac.

Correct. I’m letting most of the actual Horde leadership off the hook because they had little to do with it.

As for the PC, as aforementioned, I’m pretty sure they’d earned several life sentences even before Teldrassil, so this can be their at-last comeuppance.

Nathanos was there, too.

From my night elf’s point of view, the idea of "repayment’ is ludicrous.

She holds Saurfang and Nathanos fully responsible for everything that happened up to to and including the sack of Darkshore.

She holds Sylvannas responsible for above AND the genocide of Teldrassil.

If Anduin orders to spare the first two, she’ll grudingly agree and wait for a reason, any excuse to off them later.

She will do her best however, to kill the Banshee Queen even if Tyrande herself tries to argue otherwise.

As far as her fallen sisters go, death is the mercy she will grant.

Filmed for a live studio twitch audience

She is winning in dark shore

Our Tier B, I mean do we have a tier A? tier b is as strong as the horde gets. This power up shouldn’t of happened as she was allready op. That being said they did kill a valkir which is a big blow. They then ran away, Again what did we expect? A character should not be as strong as an army yet

What would you do? not do a battle front and have her kick the horde out of darkshore though war campaign?

No one felt good doing that to teldrassil either
wait maybe some players did i dunno but most horde players didn’t like the path. Look what we got instead, lost honor

We all invest alot of time in wow, but be happy atleast the alliance will win. What is going to happen to the horde? think how the horde pc feels, our races are in a bad place we have no characters. And we keep getting hit with the villian bat over and over. Yet the only think that awaits the horde PC is more crap, because this isn’t going to end well.

Which again is alot better then say the orcs or dark spear trolls. Who’s city got sacked, heros killed and went back in time and killed/turned villain all old horde heros. Now the second most important race doesn’t have a racial leader.

Also when will the horde get a fist pump moment aganist he alliance? where we are good, and aren’t made to feel bad about our actions. Also a straight forward win by force not super weapon or cheap tactics

“You will be villain batted and you will pay for us doing so.”
I do have odd fatalistic fantasies about my character going insane with guilt, wasting away in prison, but that is just me and the destroyed sense of faction pride Blizzard caused. It feels bad watching Anduin cutscenes because it just reminds me I am in the faction that just gets to play at being the heroes when we aren’t being made to doubt our faction again.

I also love how they ignore influential characters(Thrall) and lore just to push us to be villains.

We also make lousy villains. Most of the time the heroes overcome the villains, but horde has been just waiting to be stomped by the alliance.

All of the horde military might couldn’t beat the night elfs, had to out maneuver them and surprise them.

Horde couldn’t stop the seige aganist the undercity, it was just horde vs alliance but horde couldn’t beat them.

Horde couldn’t defend the undercity, if there was faction parity then the horde would of stopped the alliance from laying seige to undercity. Yet they couldn’t even defend it. No excuse here, first time we saw full might of alliance vs horde and horde got stomped.

Then none of our characters can we put a scratch on their alliance counter parts.
