There was a 30 year gap in anime for me until I saw FLCL about 5 years ago. I laughed my butt off when I saw it.

I was way too young ( or dumb ) for FLCL when it aired on Adult Swim lol.
Man I miss that warning at the beginning of old Adult Swim. Fond memories of sneaking out of bed on a school night to watch anime
I think I got some old trigun vhs tapes just because school started sometime when I was about to see the finale so I HAD to see it lol.
If you haven’t seen Space Battleship Yamato 2199 (Starblazer 2199) I would suggest you do so. The original story base but not edit for American audiences and it is a joy to watch.

Don’t strain yourself looking at a single example while ignoring thousands of titles buddy, you might run out of things to get offended about if you do.
I mean lets be fair here. Reading the summary of this particular anime…yeaaaaaaah I can see why this would upset folks.
After watching the previously mentioned anime I shall not name here from my first post here, I’m basically dead inside so this doesn’t shock me lol.
And if folks are wondering “What were you doing watching that anime that shall not be named here in the first place?” It was a dare in a rabbit session among some edgy people I hung out with. They were the odd “wholesome edgy” where they’d say messed up jokes or watch shocking things then we’d be all nice to each other or hang out with video games.
Most people think that it didn’t even deserve an adaptation, it’s done mainly for shock value and the story for what I heard has nothing interesting outside of it.
And to use Redo as an argument as to why “Anime should be banned” it’s weak, let alone disingenuous when there’s several examples of much better things, even in the current season.
If you play Mistweaver Monk this expansion you basically experienced Redo of Healer.

Robotech, had the toy when I was a kid of the plane as well. Also own the entire series on DvD somewhere.
First movie was Akira.

The three I listed are all super odd, and I think it’s because that was in the early days of bringing animated children’s television programming from Japan then just overdubbing in English before they started catering in any way at all to the American market.
But as a kid I LOVED Kimba the most! But then I’ve always been a Cat Lady from birth. 
As far as a know if you even want an even mildly fanservice-y figure, you can’t get it.
Wouldn’t vpns solve that issue somewhat? If I’m wrong then I don’t mind being corrected
