I think they’re unpruning because classic has been a success. They would like nothing more than to poach people back to retail from classic, but I think that tack will neither have that result nor ultimately satisfy the average retail player, and I assume a lot of the more useless abilities will be repruned if not during SL then at a later date. Really too early to tell, tbh. Anyway that’s my personal conspiracy theory, a dunce conspiracy though not the cool kind.
Nightborne were intentionally made hideous so more people wouldn’t switch to Horde.

Blizzard wants me to pay for a 50% xp buff by leaving it on Recruit-a-friend but removing it from looms.
Naaru are Old Gods shoved into Shards of Light by First Ones and Old Gods are First Ones corrupted by the Void Lords during the Great Clash of Light and Shadow.
WoW is just a repeat of Babylon 5 which involves the clash against the Shadows(Old Gods) and Vorlons(Naaru) who both ultimately get driven out of the Milky Way Galaxy by the other First Ones.
Sargeras is actually the good guy. As the lone titan who had the balls to go it his own way to destroy the old god influence in the universe and purge the corruption. he was fed up with the bureaucracy of the pantheon and the archaic rules that they abode by. much like batman he, he took justice into his own hands, even though it looked like what he was doing was destructive he was just getting the job done. As he pursued the corrupted world of Azeroth we the citizens saw him as the big bad and judged a book by its cover. We started fighting him and set in motion a feud that could never be resolved. Enemies for life. Much like the bumbling cops in every movie with a vigilante hero we attempted to thwart his efforts in the name of some arbitrary rule set brainwashed into us by “the light” and never attempted to listen to his side of the story. As we grew and became more powerful we ended up defeating him. In his last remaining act, our true hero Sargeras thrust his world ending sword into the exact, AND ONLY, zone completely infected with old god corruption… Silithus; Much like the army doctor of old cauterizing a wound. he was the hero we needed but not the hero we deserved.
Sargeras’ goal was always the protection of titan world souls that could be saved. he did not just rend Azeroth when we angered him over and over. Which he could have easily by the way. A couple raging blows with that huge sword and the world is basically done. No he held back because he knew that the life of Azeroth could be saved and would bloom into a fellow titan. Basically hatching from an egg (which by the way is going to kill us so whats the point).
I guess in summary what I’m saying is that WoW is basically the story of a colony of microbes living on the shell of a chicken egg trying to fight the egg munching lizard and the mother hen who is picking the egg clean at the same time.
Are Nightbourne really all that ugly?
I mean, the guys have some major prune face going on, but are the female models all that problematic?

Not all of the Nightborne models are offensively ugly. I’m rather fond of Ei actually.
But the males have this weird gorilla hands thing going on, it doesn’t even look good when they’re in full plate.
Here’s Ei as a fr’instance:

The developers initially wanted to Blood Elves to be Alliance and keep them as High Elves but because they love trolling the community opted to make Blood Elves Horde so they could laugh at all the threads asking for High Elves.

My tinfoil hat tells me that my Gift of N’zoth (eyeball on my forehead) will somehow turn out to be a meaningful choice.
I don’t really believe it will; but I still hope.
